I've been arguing with a man (who I'm fairly certain is insane) in the Malazan Empire group on Facebook on and off for the last god knows how many hours. It's 5am in the morning now (almost), where did i go wrong?!

Sounds like a compressed nerve. Might be in your back, actually.

Perhaps a massage from the spouse tonight would help - in conjunction with an ibuprofen and maybe a heating pad all up and down the leg and on your lower back as well.

I'm tired. Really, just tired. Physically, mentally, emotionally. I could probably curl up and sleep for the next decade.

But I can't. I've got an exam in 7 days. THE exam. The last one.

I can't do it alone, but being at home certainly makes it feel that way. I really just don't function well when it's an hour+ each way, and any number of dollars to see my friends. Any number of dollars, I really just cannot afford. I see them infrequently, at best. And it's always got to be a grand production, since it's so much of a schlep - never 'hey let's grab lunch' or 'hey, go out for a drink?' or even 'play some Left 4 Dead?' it's unsatisfying. I haven't just hung out with anyone, except my brother, in probably 3 months.

I really just want to be done, be out, be anywhere but here. It's slowly draining the life out of me. My father's supportive, but he's married to my mother. And she's killing me in small increments. I really wonder at what point I stopped being a son, and started to be an employee out of which she expects performance, blind obedience, and attention to her every whim. Except it's worse, because her employees never have to deal with her when she's drinking.

Hell, the best thing I've read in 2 weeks was a fanfiction story that I enjoyed chiefly because it was a story about finding a happy home with a mother that cares.

If there were anywhere for me to go, I would.
