So it just came to light that my 15-year old niece was assaulted by two guys late last summer. It took her a while to tell someone because she was so ashamed, and so now the police can't do as much as they might have been able to do if she'd come forward right after it happened. The two little fucks have been added to the violent offenders list (something that will stay on their records for life), because apparently there was enough cause to add them, but that charging them fully is harder because this long after the fact it's a lot of hearsay and the two boys have guy friends sticking up for their stupid asses.

Oh, and my nieces boyfriend, on the night she found out the police couldn't do as much for her when you'd expect him to be there to support her in an hour of strife...was off with his friends all night. It's her bday tomorrow and I'm going out with the family to celebrate her day (what a shitty way to celebrate your 16th birthday)...and I am having a really hard time with reigning myself in if her supposed boyfriend is there. It will take everything in me not to want to shout at him that he should have been there to support her. But I don't want to ruin her day either.

Fuck.

This is messing with my groove.

She's only 15 FFS. I hope those two little shits rot in a special hell for what they did!

That's really rough, QT. My sympathies. She's going to need quite a bit of support.
What limited experience I have with stuff like that is that there will likely circulate rumours at some point that 'blahblah she must have done something to encourage them blahblah' especially since the dickwads who did it weren't arrested. As for the girl's bf - well, it seems twattish, but did he know she'd get the news (whether good or bad) that night? If not, then well, he's also 16 and 16 year olds aren't exactly considerate by nature in and of themselves. If yes, then he's a twat too, but I bet him leaving her won't make her feel better.

I can fully empathise with this, QT. The best of luck to your niece, I hope she manages to put this whole thing behind her. It's a fucking disgrace. ^_^

Thanks for the support and the suggestions on how to deal you guys. Much appreciated.

It's just a shitty situation all around.

That's horrible, Quick. Little bastards!

My future father-in-law is a jackass. We're selling my fiancee's condo and he cosigned on so he's on the title. Thus the realtor needs his signature for a bunch of documents and so emailed and phoned dad. Instead of cooperating and helping the process along my father-in-law acted like an asshole and kept asking stupid aggressive questions and insulting the realtor then phoned his daughter, my lovely lady, and basically made her cry over the phone. Grrrr!

This kind of shit is annoying. I can totally understand. Mrs. QT's uncle and aunt are both reprehensible human beings and even though she dislikes them, her mother still talks to them and listens to their idiocy. It's really trying to deal with. I feel for you man.

HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

My rather favourite football player just said me, that Im shit and he really doesnt care bout my opinion. Well, because he seemed like reasonable, intelligent guy, its rather disappointing. Still, telling him that my articles are read daily by more people than he plays for every week was sweat. Yeah, maybe petty and childish, but... I dont like cocky wannabe stars that just throw vulgarities at fans. And heck, Im older than him! (and thats messing with my groove...Im OLD!)

Don't beat him up... I once dated a girl whose father was an asshole (and a drunk), and I may have gotten into a bit of a tussle with him one night because he made her cry in front of me (over something really stupid). She never did forgive me for breaking his nose, and we broke up because of it. Now that I'm not 17 I would deal with it a little differently, but seriously that is a shitty situation and I don't envy your position.

Aww man, that sucks. Well, just see it like this, he probably went crazy after earning so much money, the poor man can't help it. Popular have to be douches, it's like an unwritten rule. Also, what do you write for?

Extreme headache starting in back of neck and working its way up to my head, eventually nestling nicely behind my eyes, making being alive misery. Slept all day, headache went away, but couldn't move without feeling exhausted. No desire to eat. Paper due tomorrow that I didn't do earlier because I slept all day. About to start paper. Headache coming back. Have to go in tomorrow for an exam, no matter how shitty I feel.

I have the worst headcold ever. I had just a standard cold but after spending an early morning outide it has developed into the mother of all headcolds.

I hate yellow snot.

I can sympathize. Mrs. QT has just gotten over Bronchitis and now has a sinus infection...and she shares the yellow snot dilemma.

Yellow/green/brown snot is good snot. It means your body is getting rid of the germs in a big way and you are on your way to recovery.

Hack it all up. As much as you possibly can until you're tired of hacking things up. Then enjoy the weird thrill of seeing that gunky stuff disappear down the drains and away from your body. Recovery and regained health is around the corner!

This could just be me and my really weird ways of dealing with being sik though.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I know this but defeated germs still taste like shit

EDIT: Cheers, QT. I once had chronic bronchitis for a year.......after a year of never being quite able to breathe I'm happy to take a headcold over a chest infection ANY DAY. Hope Mrs. QT is recovering :)

One gaming site, one film site, one sci-fi magazine... nothing big in world, but for Czech Republic, well, pretty big )
For the player - yup... I remember him as calm guy from small town...now he plays first league (in a really terrible team) and now he is THE BIG PLAYA! :)
