CRUSHING DISAPPOINTMENT to find that the two neatly boxed packages sitting on my desk are not, in fact, two copies of the limited edition of Deadhouse Gates (one for me, one for Luci).

They were iPad 3s.

*le sigh*

That's because they were just delivered to me o_O

It feels like I've been demoted. It's the same position, same work, same pay. But they moved me to fucking gokk! It's so quiet down here, I'm going mad. Nothing down here drowns out the droning whirr of the photocopy machines two doors down from my office. Oh world! Why you hate on poor Satan?

Thanks for all the advice folks, and that's pretty much what my best friend told me as well. That if Mrs. QT and I wanted to truly start things we ought to get out into a place we both owned.

At any rate, it's all moot now...as the sister had another chat with her bf and things went much better. He's going to propose within the year and understands her need to have a child in the next couple of years. So while it's not quite an "all's well" situation with them just yet, it's a good sign and start on his part...so I don't think she's moving back to the condo, they are gonna work shit out.

This means that we can continue to stay at the condo and save for the first house we buy and hopefully I'll get enough time to contribute equally.

Thanks again folks.

Came into work today despite feeling quite unwell due to 3 terrible nights sleep caused by an infected wisdom tooth (still resisting the dentist!). I would have stayed off but I didn't have anything important in my calendar so thought I could veg through the day at my desk and get some quiet work done that I couldn't do from home on the sick. Big mistake as I've suddenly been asked to attend a really heavy meeting! Not only is it my first ever serious meeting with our CEO, it is also with one of the Directors of a mega pharma company. I look like shit, I'm irritable and I can't think straight. And now I'm bricking it.

infected wisdom tooth can turn into deadly brain killing problems, Mez. Don't screw around with it. Doubt it will get well on its own. If you had gone straight away, the pain of the excision would be nearly over by now.
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

Where are they? I spent a good 30mins watching them when I was there in November. Is the enclosure undergoing renovations or something?

Really? That's your comment Kel?

How about, what the heck were AIJ's PLANS that concerned otters?

The equation is simple: Girl + Looking at Otters + Ice Cream + Long Walk = Makeout Sessions.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Thankfully, it was the otters missing from this equation, not the girl...
