You mean the paper towel?

EDIT: Oh, I just got it...... :p

Apologies for any mental images it may have caused.

Anyhow, my groove is messed with by this buggering damned bollocks word-replacement filter that Grief made for fun and giggles and shizzle.

Is it only affecting the Inn because if it affects the serious threads then it's bloody not cricket. :p

EDIT: It DOES affect the serious threads. How the hell are the admins allowing this? Very few of our members come here for fun. This isn't going to be doing any favours with the literary minded members. Awesome.

Wait, what words are covered? Cause I've been wanting a word filter for ages because of shenanigans and this is going to be great.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

rather nippy Ben, for one.

Try Engurland.
Try saying the 4 letter word variant for poo.
Try the four letter word for 'go forth and multiply'
Try going into banter with fellow malazites in the room specifically created for it (C.hat).

So I can't say bollocks or bugger? Or Blighty? Or natter?

Are we really complaining that people can't swear vicariously in the book forums now? The only person who did that was me!

Besides, I could always use dickgargling shagbox instead.

I'm complaining because I can't say rather nippy Ben in the book forums.

Well, he took out the Q and B acronym as well, so it's definitely deliberate, but QuickBen is still fine.

Which would be amusing if it only affected the Inn, but it's site wide and since A LOT of people mention rather nippy Ben in their posts it's a little disruptive and not everyone is going to head to the Inn to find out what's going on.

Yeah, this is going to cause a book forum apocalypse, clearly. I think aside from one word, none of the others are going to effect the book forums a great deal. It was a joke and I highly doubt it is going to be in effect for a great deal of time.

It's hardly ruining the integrity of the site.

That's fine. My point is that it shouldn't have been allowed to affect the book forums to begin with. I think changing a characters name was one step pass the line.

I am mostly complaining that I can't swear in mafia, because everyone there thoroughly deserves it, every single one of those dragon-shagging bastard warrens (of which I am proud to be one).
However, that's an inconvenience. The fact that QuickBen is Ben being changed IS a serious issue.

Busy day

Had to be up early, cleaned the house then went to the museum to sort out some contract stuff that had to happen before work. Got to work and it turns out im being promoted to supervisor with an eye to assistant manager soon. One of the manager stepped down to a supervisor role and this meant that one of the current supervisors had to be let go which was like my best friend there. She was upset and thenmy manager got upset because it was inadvertently her fault but really it was the regional managers fault. I dont deal well with girls crying. I then went the gym and but lost track of what I was doing there. Going to go back to Stronglifts 5 x 5 programme rather than this dumbell nonsense.

Busy day

The museum thing is just a cover for a daring international archeological reclamation strike force of commando-curators, right?
And when you say someone is being 'let go', you actually mean that they determined she was a double-agent for the illMOMAnatii and your first job as 'supervisor' was summary excision with extreme supervisory prejudice, yes?

One of the theatre casting calls replied, but they require me to perform an audition in 2 days. I'm really not sure I could prepare anything in that amount of time...but I don't want to miss out on this chance. Guess I'll try and stall for time.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.
