Just thought more of it. And with the amount of participation here I have to say that blogs can pick up. I was mostly raking ModCraft into account when I spoke of that add-on before Mal. So its something to consider and could be pretty good if members can participate at a greater level.

I'm unconvinced that blogs would be used for more than a short time, as a novelty thing. On the other hand, it might be a good place to post personal book reviews or suchlike...

Well the plus side it is a very powerful system. not just a second hand blog script. You have a lot of options for tabs and content. And they fit the forum skins. Which is a plus for the look.
But I do have to agree that it could just become a novelty thing. There is a good chance of that I am afraid.
It's an extra. So its pretty much whether you want to have more bling or you don't
