I'm in the UK and I've been looking too. you need to look online, there are some (comparatively) cheap ones on Amazon. or you could sell some vital organs and get it on eBay. hopefully it'll get a general release at some point.

why the publishers are reluctant to do so I don't know, I mean how many first-time authors like Esslemont have the potential fan-base he could enjoy if they would just print more than 500 copies.

I've got no choice but to hold off until the prices goes down...a lot. I'm not going to pay over ?30 for NoK when I picked up the main books for ?3-4 each.

Apparently the run of 500 is almost sold out. Maybe they'll do a run of them in paperback (for less $$$) once the HC's are gone, like they did with SE's novellas.

Try www.clarkesworld.com, they should have a couple left at whatever $46 is in pounds nowadays, reasonably cheap delivery costs, I recommend it.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Hmm... I paid £17 for it from amazon.co.uk, and had it sent with about ten other books so the shipment for only that wasn't too bad (live in Norway). It's not cheap, but no more than a few beers and a trip to the movies. Even for a poor student like myself, it comes down to prioritizing it over something else. In this case I chose to rather buy an expencive book than a sixpack of expencive beer... and the result is positive: The book lasted slightly longer than the beers would have, and can be used again (something you can probably do with beer to, but with less joy), and it's aftereffects were slightly more positive.

The publisher now shows it (the 500 copy edition) as out of print so whatever you can find already in stores is it.

I'm pretty sure Neil at Clarke's World still has it listed as available from him.

It's being released in PB soon, so that should make it a little easier on folks pocket books.

Not sure. I know Neil at Clarke's World here in the US has it up for pre-order, but he doesn't list a date. It's not listed on PS Publishing's site yet either.

Also due this month is a trade paperback edition of Ian Cameron Esslemont's remarkable Night of Knives. Unsigned, it will be priced at ?15/$25 and orders are invited now. The ISBN is 1904619932. Although we still have a few of the signed slipcases left for this title, the regular signed hardcover is sold out.

the url for psp is here
