Gardens of the Moon for Kruppe, House of chains for the way it starts and unfolds the story of Karsa, one of my favourites. Midnight Tides for Tehol. The Bonehunters for the Adjunct's defense and Ikarium's armageddon-fight. All of them for the T'lan Imass. I mostly love Erikson's character-building, he always finds something he hasn't written yet, and halts the story to make time to present them in his oh so various ways, like Tehol the genius who always talks two storeys above the others, Kruppe who hides behind his cookies and so on. Bravo.
