That's all for now. Will post more when/if I finish anything else.
The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

That's exactly right my friend

Here's what I imagine Cowl and Skinner look like (crappy background though, Urb is lazy):

Pretty good, although I'm not convinced that Ryllandaras is really a Bear-dog sort of creature... more of a massive cat-like predator. A bit like his brother, I guess.

Does Skinner have a helmet? I'd always imagined him with really tight fitting magically imbued light armour which just about covers his neck. Anyone else have an interpretation or quote?

Really?
I got the feeling he is this hulk of an armored soldier, with iron grating on iron whenever he moves.
Magicked to move like a superfast swordfighter of course.
The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

My interpretation had no basis in descriptive fact and thus should not be taken very seriously. I was just curious if there is any quote to describe his appearance and general movement. Part of me believes the way it does because heavy armour is very difficult to move in, Skinner seems to have no problem in that department.

Skinner has a helmet. We don't see him without it for quite some time, so much so I was expecting when it was removed he would be either:
a. A T'lan Imass
b. Butt ugly

minor possible spoiler for those who have not read it yet

this is Shimmer describing Skinner's armour:

Quote

And that armor; she had never seen anything like it. What was that dark patina that covered it with a crystal-like glitter? Skinner did not hide that his patron, Ardata of Jacuruku, had gifted it to him.

hope that helps

more nice stuff Urby, you actually got skinner pretty much exactly as I envisaged him except I think I had a darker metal in mind for the armour. I really like the way you got the armour itself looking really solid and sort of thick plated ^^

You should have let the background white, then you could've pretended Cowl and Skinner were in Lights Realm
