Pretty much. I'm allergic to pollen of pretty much any kind by now (and as a consequence of not getting proper treatment - see below - also to a bunch of fruit and veggies), it seems, but I do not know for sure because the only doctor specializing in allergies in my area refused to test me (no kidding), but without the test I cannot prove it and thus can't get the medications that needs a prescription, but is - supposedly - better than the stuff I can get at the pharmacy without prescription.

I used to only be allergic to tree pollen, had treatment for that and it got better. Then, last year, I noticed that I was STILL reacting after the trees were done blooming. So I went to the doc and asked to get tested anew, but got told they wouldn't do that because my last test had been two years ago and obviously, nothing is likely to have changed (yeah, right), so I'm probably just imagining and please come back when your yearly expensive as hell anti-tree pollen shots are due.
Right, so THIS year I am - not-too-surpisingly - reacting to at the very least all kinds of grass pollen as well and have no access to treatment because apparently I'm 'imagining' that. Since roughly halfway through April, I have slept maybe five nights without waking up upwards from four times due to either violent sneezing or getting no air. I'm just glad the whole mess had the courtesy to wait until I graduated. I started sneezing the next day. But I must be imagining the blood coming out of my nose and the sore throat due to only being able to breathe through my mouth for hours at a time

My calendar tells me this may continue well into August. At which point I already have an appointment with another doctor further away, but hopefully more concerned with her patients and less with money. At the very least I can finally get tested again.

Whoah you really need to change your doctor. That or move to the South Pole.

I have found that most non -allergic people don't understand these sneezes . I have been told that a couple of sneezes are nothing to take a day off on. An hours worth of sneezing usually lays me out . Your situation seems way way worse. Hope it works out.

Finished the chapter in my book last night which had caused me to take a one-month sabbatical from writing (the end scene was fucking awful to do, but I felt it was necessary for character progression). Very glad that's done (although it's still pending continuity edits).

I'm now projecting a finish time of late 2016, so once that's done... Well. We'll see!

But yeah, it's always a challenge to make people who have no allergies understand that yes, they CAN keep one from doing some thing, and no, it's NOT just some sneezing.

Missed hall H do the plane issues, but got to see vikings and ash vs the evil dead panels. Bruce Campbell is out of control. Met some cool folks from other forums Irl.. And landed some rad stuff.

Naah. It will just bore her her. The area they live in i sinfested with snakes. They have a large one living in the garden for some years now. There's a lane she hass told me to avoid as sometimes in the monsoon, when there is water logging snakes jump off trees and directly into the water

One of the strangest moments of my life was seeing a king cobra go swimming by in the road and my cousins not even caring one bit.

That's a huge snake and nobody cared. Something about the excess water calms everybody down and the snakes go about their business. In the dry season though, people freaked out about any and all snakes nearby.

In the area where my girlfriend lives they are incredibly nonchalant about snakes. We had a date once and she called to say she was going to be late as a "10 foot snake has coiled itself around the gate". In the early phase of our relationship I was a bit freaked out about this but she assured me it was ok. Apparently when they bought the house, back when she was 6, the garden was totally overgrown and her father had to kill an average 10 snakes a day. She said "We used to wake up in the night to find 4 or so snakes hanging from the mosquito net." Compared to that the situation is way better now.

I realised right back then that she was special. I would have had a heart attack if I woke up to find a snake hanging over my face.

My wife loves to get cards, especially for no reason.

Get her a funny/goofy one and write something sweet, about how you'll try not to take her for granted or how lucky you are, she'll love it.

Also checking out those custom card companies that'll print you off a card with, for example, a picture of your partner wearing a Pikachu onesie and making a silly face, can get you a card they'll really enjoy. And then presumably they'll never speak to you again after.
