its been a busy few weeks and I haven't been able to post for a while...

The babies name is name is now Arya (Not aria as previously advertised :p) I fought the good fight and thanks for the support :p

At present all she does is sleep and drink milk and cry and poop. occasionally she smiles in her sleep and I caught this rare moment. I guess its a happy milk dream or something.

This past week has been really rough for me, and I was definitely slipping back into a state of serious alcohol abuse and some other stupid ass shit and I've managed to be able to come to a couple conclusions that have really changed my outlook on life.

I'm nowhere near cured of a lot of problems I have, but I've been able to come to better terms regarding the Marine Corps and my divorce and a bunch of other stuff and it's been a good day for me. Something I haven't had in a long long time.
I still heart Goodkind.

A bit of schadenfreude here, but I have an hour commute in the am, and every time there's an accident on the expressway, people attempt to illegally cross the 30 foot grassy median to avoid the jam and take a different route. Nearly every time, these people get stuck in the drainage ditch that they underestimated (its either too wide for the vehicle's chassis or swamped with drainage water and tractionless). This morning had record numbers of stuck vehicles and I counted no less than 7 stranded vehicles, marked by the occupants attempts to free the car from its predicament. I laughed a whole bunch on the way to work today, and that doesn't happen too often. Maybe it was a little overboard, but I'll make it up reading to blind orphans in the cancer ward or something.
Theorizing that one could poop within his own lifetime, Doctor Poopet led an elite group of scientists into the desert to develop a top secret project, known as QUANTUM POOP. Pressured to prove his theories or lose funding, Doctor Poopet, prematurely stepped into the Poop Accelerator and vanished. He awoke to find himself in the past, suffering from partial amnesia and facing a mirror image that was not his own. Fortunately, contact with his own bowels was made through brainwave transmissions, with Al the Poop Observer, who appeared in the form of a hologram that only Doctor Poopet could see and hear. Trapped in the past, Doctor Poopet finds himself pooping from life to life, pooping things right, that once went wrong and hoping each time, that his next poop will be the poop home.

think I sugared by coffee twice by accident, so I'm kinda hyper right now.
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; because there is not effort without error and shortcomings; but who does actually strive to do the deed; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement and who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly. So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.

Man, so I've completed all of 2 days of work. Hours are long but looks good. I was asked if I want to stay for 3 months until the completion of a project. I got lucky since I get to work with the main architect directly at a respected firm and the project will be great experience as its a New York luxury residence building with the collaboration of another accomplished firm. I also didnt care about getting paid, just to get some experience, but I was told I'm gonna get paid as well. I got lucky. Its only been 2 days but I hope everything turns out good.
