I was kind irritated by the og, but Real always had to score at least one anyway.
Just checked the feed, Nani got carded, at OT too, musta been attempted murder. Seeing that he fouled Arbeloa and Modric replaced Arbeloa immeadiately afterwards I'm assuming he did him in.

I dislike Ronaldo immensely but I love Xabi Alonso, and I really hate united fans so

work away my friend. I have no illusions as to our position the last few seasons. We've been poor, I can easily admit that.
I just love indignant united fans screaming that the ref (who ever he is) should never referee another game for sending Nani off, one went as far to suggest he should stop breathing.

I wonder if they share the same sentiments for Howard and Clatenberg, considering how many shocking decisions have went uniteds way under their eyes.

and what, ref's don't make mistakes? are they suddenly infallible robots?

"Fergie's cheque must have bounced" was the best response I've seen yet, although my "Hardly the first dodgy decision at Old Trafford to be fair" did garner a few likes, hate filled rebukes and one touché

Not going to deny that there have been some poor decisions our way in the past but a sending off in a game like this is such a big decision, you would have thought he would have taken 2 minutes to consult with a linesman!?

You can't know how it looked from the ref's perspective, he has a job, he's doing it. If he fails in his job he'll get the sack, Fergie will surely squeal like a cut pig if its as bad as the facebookers are making it out to be.
You can be damned sure he'll get more scrutiny and abuse about this one decision than Webb and Clatenbergs combined bullshit calls.

That's why there should be on-site verification of their decisions... camera, action! or else you get peasants like this piece of shit ref turning a match into a circus

you really do make a compelling case for why I often wonder why anyone would want to be a ref.
I make a mistake at work I generally blow something up, sometimes its expensive shit. But I don't get death threats and only my boss calls me stupid or a piece of shit.

ETA: I know you're not a Brit Gothos, I was suggesting you become one of the horrid middle england fuckwits who blame mistakes anyone who doesn't speak english on them being a bloody stupid foreigner rather than just accepting that people make mistakes.


I haven't seen the decision yet but I have no desire to see a game where we stop for video reffing every turn around. Because make no mistake, if something like that were to come in, refs would have to use it all the time to stop them getting abuse from the whining primadonas that play the game these days.

ETA - talking to a more level headed fan there, says in honesty the ref was out of his depth for this game, but still I do not EVER want to see video reffing in football. Goalline tech I can accept as it will be (if it works how I tihnk it will) quick and painless.

Just put a limit on it. In our volleyball league teams can challenge a decision, twice per set for each team. Makes its use non-abused and careful.
