One of my best friends just texted me saying "look what I just got" and it was a picture of her holding a copy of GotM she found in a used bookstore.

And she's never read anything Malazan before, but she knows I've been all over it lately and wanting her to read it so YESSSS!!! She has to finish ASOIAF first, but still.

Rehearsals today were AWESOME! Also, banana and choc-chip muffins :p

EDIT: Also, forgot to mention. A friend of mine from kindergarten, Priscilla, recently underwent surgery for a new set of lungs, on account of her cystic fibrosis, I think I mentioned her once? She had twenty percent lung capacity and it didn't look good, she was fiftieth on the list for surgery for donated lungs. But it seems fortune has smiled on her and she's learning to use the new ones :p She's been doing really well and it's just one of those nice things that gives you a good feeling.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Will you be able to watch the Bowl live or have to wait a day in England?

I can watch live but it is on really late so we record it & a group of us watch it monday evening. We have to avoid the internet for a day but it is worth it!

EDIT: Also, what happened to Apt? Did he neg rep a red text post of Silencers?

I have a dog, got him about two years ago, and I named him Spindle. I never told anybody why except in the broadest terms, ie "It's a character in a book I like." Well now (slowly but surely) I've got my sister up to Memories of Ice, and she just texted me "So your dog's coat is made from an old woman's hair? Weirdo!"

I had to flip a coin to decide which mood-altering thread to put this in, but I recently got round to playing and finishing Spec Ops: the Line, and it is a really good game and you will feel like a bastard at the end of it.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I would criticize Spec Ops for forcing your hand at certain points because it wants to further certain parts of the story, which sort of removed a part of the punch of the horrific things that happen in the game, because the game made me do them instead of me doing these things myself.

But on the other hand, when you discover that what the consequences of the shit you are doing is, fuck me, this game becomes grim.

Well, worth what ever cheap price you can find it for now a days. It's often on sale for 5-10 euro here and there.

I never left. I was always here. Watching. Listening. Taking names. Enjoying the sweet, sweet confusion that followed the ban.

The important things to remember is that Lugo - and to a lesser extent, Adams - is far more the player mouthpiece than Walker. That, and the choices you make are you, yourself making them, whereas Walker's choices are his own. Can't argue against other interpretations of it though, yours is just as valid BUT OH WAIT THIS ISN'T THE SPEC OPS THREAD
