I sorta had to go on the way into work this morning, then when we arrived at work I found the keys to the other van in my pocket, which is bad because the boss is taking it home on the ferry this morning, so no toilet, just a panick involving me sprinting back to the van and racing back to our house, then back to work, like just over an hour round trip. Bought a house! The market is so different between Cardiff house prices & Oldham house prices that we have managed to get a 3 bed mid terrace with a lovely garden & off street parking for £12,000 less than we are selling our 2 bed flat with no garden for! Means we can get new furniture (which we need) & pay solicitors/estate agents/removal guys with a bit to spare. Plus Mrs Tiste's job is more or less guaranteed in September so I just need a job now...

Less than 7 hours away from heading to Ukraine.

Got the last of my marks. The one class I feared of potentially failing I got a C in. Everything else was fine.

#1 Went to Newmarket races yesterday. I've never been horse racing before but it was really good fun. I've never bet on anything before and won on my first one. I bet a whole £2 on a horse at 10-1 and then spent the rest of the day frittering away my winnings. Last of the big spenders! Anyway, that's all by the by. What made me really happy (or probably just really fucking relieved) was that Mr PigDog's childhood friend instigated the whole day out because back in October last year he put £1000 on one of the horses that was running yesterday!!!! I was in two minds whether to go because it felt a bit like facilitating someones gambling problem as he doesn't earn the kind of money to justify betting like that. Fortunately the nag came in first. It would have been reeeeeeally awkward if it hadn't.

#2 Buying a house and it's all going through and is cool and stuff. I have lived in 1 bedroom flats for the last 10 years whilst saving for a deposit to buy somewhere. The house is really cool - it's not like my dream home or anything but it is at least a home. No matter what the weather on the day we move in, I'm going to run around in the garden like an idiot fool!!!! Aaaarrrrggghhhhhhh.

Based on an article on CNN, I ordered a "Fly SUX" T-shirt.

SUX is the airport code for Sioux City, Iowa, USA. The city understandably has wanted the government to change the code for years but they refused. So instead the city has embraced it by printing and selling T-shirts, mugs, etc with "Fly SUX."

Kudos to them for making lemonade out of lemons.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.
