That's great SB, congratulations! I hope all goes well.
Now my happy news seems less significant...but I got paid today, and am no longer broke. Yay!

This half-witted, right wing wankery is making me laugh my arse off. I love reading stuff like this, it reminds me how much better I am than these twats.

Kick some metaphorical ass, SB! Don't forget the knee-brace.
I'm happy because my Pies are beating our hated enemy, the Blues. There is a particularly irritating colleague whose nose I will rub with great profusion come Monday.

Thanks everybody!
I'm not sure exactly what you mean. The only one i can think of is "people" say your supposed to spend 3 months salary. But i dont know anyone who's done that. I sure as hell didnt.
@MTS. Yours might not have been as exciting. But you have money and i'm in debt.

I fought off the urge to drink myself into a stupor of self-pity. Instead i made phonecalls, pulled strings, called in favour and generally traded on all the goodwill i'd amassed. And the result is...
Everythings back on track, i've got my funding, re-secure my uni place, still have a roof over my head and quite likely will have gainfull employment too. Yeay for Karma!!
And thanks to everyones sugestions/offers of murder and GBH... that made me happy.

Did the paintballing segment of my friend's stag do successfully. Free-for-alls are banned thanks to Youtube, but that just means I managed to save some cash for drinking tonight. We were considering a stripclub, but after all the welts we sort of look like bubonic plague sufferers.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

What's making me happy right now? A new baby girl:
Kaylee Grace, born yesterday morning at 10:35am weighing 8 lbs 12 oz and measuring 20.5" in length. Some pics. That's me in the fourth photo:

"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"
