So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Following on from this. Looks like I'm going to have the awesomest couple of weeks coming up in terms of work. I literally got paid to do sweet fuck all for about two out of my four extra hours today. And the other two were not exactly heavy load. Apparently it'll be like that the whole time. Woot.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Haha I had a great time last night! It was my 1St Redneck News Years exp , taping firecrackers to arrows and shooting into the air, hollering shit at the neghibors across the street, which lead to my friend pulling his 12 gauge out and firing, witch led to them getting a gun shooting and talking more shit back to us.... This happened with 3 more gun exchanges each louder then the one before. We won with my friends cannon rifle. That fucker hurt my ears. Then to top it off 2 houses down some drunk ass yelled "Yeehaw!" and emptied his shotgun and a pistol. Wow that was some crazy shit but I had fun.

The South. Up here there are no competitions. People just shoot shotguns into the air.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Dying Trekkie gets private film screening

A dying Trekkie was given a private preview screening of the new Star Trek film when a post on Reddit caught the attention of director JJ Abrams.
A DYING Star Trek fan with only weeks to live has been given a private screening of the franchise's new film, after a Reddit post caught the attention of director JJ Abrams.
User ideeyut posted a callout for his friend Dan, saying his 41-year-old friend was suffering leukemia and desperately wanted to see Star Trek Into Darkness, or at least the nine-minute trailer that had been screened before some showings of The Hobbit.
The new film isn't due for release until May, but according to the posts, Abrams called Dan's wife and arranged the private screening for the dying fan.
Dan's wife was quoted in the post, saying, "There is nothing left to do but make him comfortable, at 41, he is jaundice & his liver is enlarged, his body has had enough, he has weeks to live."
According to the post, he was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 38, and had since been ravaged with more aggressive cancers.
The post was flooded with users posting contact details for the film studio, and offering to get in touch with contacts in Hollywood to make Dan's wish come true.
The original plea was posted on a Star Trek page of Reddit on Christmas Day, and was followed up on Saturday with this:
"He got to see it a couple of hours ago and loved it. JJ Abrams is the man. I'm going to buy an extra ticket for Dan when it comes out."
