FUCK YEAH cleared the initial stage of interviews and made it to the shortlist, next talks on Monday!

The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; because there is not effort without error and shortcomings; but who does actually strive to do the deed; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement and who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly. the whole "I have to wait # days before calling to show I'm aloof and not desperate" is not something I miss about dating. It's probably the BIGGEST head game amongst youths.

I don't envy your having to deal with that AIJ, but I can offer you my advice.

What I used to do is message immediately after the date (when you get home) and say "Just wanted you to know I had a great time!" to allow her to know you don't want to brush her off...but then leave it be for a day or two and then message her with a follow up date idea. This way she doesn't think you're uninterested, but she also doesn't feel you are cloying and desperate.

I FINALLY managed to buy a copy of Samurai Swords/ Shogun (before naming rights forced it into Samurai Swords). It is now called Ikusa though, for some shady reason (well, there is a different game called Shogun, too, with a nifty army-throwing tower for battle resolution). This game now joins the heap of board games (A&A, Diplomacy, Game of Thrones 1.0) that elicit frowns, sighs and groans from my friends on birthdays and gaming nights. And it will be totally worth the outlay, even if we'll play it only once a year.

Now to figure out the optimum koku per kill/ win ratio...

I have to disagree.
The proper way to play this is to arrange asap to show up 'spontaneously' somewhere where you know she'll be and then offer to whisk her off to an on-the-spot date for coffee, drinks, whatever. Optimally you break into her place so you can be by her bedside when she wakes up. Outside the bathroom when she emerges from the shower is also good, but don't hide IN the shower because she may not be fully awake and then i can't be responsible for the consequences.
