Archery is a lot of fun.
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; because there is not effort without error and shortcomings; but who does actually strive to do the deed; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement and who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly. So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.

Well, I think I committed the planning fallacy twice in one night, as we somehow ended up at Starbucks and then I missed my last bus because we talked for too long and it was midnight. XD So that's the night in a nutshell, I guess? :p
(Starling was generous enough to give me a lift home, so all was fine in that regard.)

Yesterday Matador took me on a birthday adventure and it was AWESOME!

We went to Alma Park Zoo and had a picnic lunch before looking at the animals including LLAMAS!!! Which I got to FEED! Plus, all the monkies had recently had babies so there were babie cotton-tops, marmosets, baboons etc. The new sun bear, Milly, put on a show trying to catch the sunlight :harhar: I made friends with a macaw - we danced and said 'hello' & 'bye'. I was able to do it almost on command each time to the point that other visitors thought I worked there.
After my third trip to feed the llamas it was time to go home at which point Matador i.formed me there was one more thing I had to do - visit Lemur Island and feed the lemurs!!!
I got rowed across to the island in a tinnie before being handed a bowl full of the lemurs favourite treats (they LOVE banana, fyi). They came over and I got to hand them food and Poppy, the second youngest and most shy one in the family, sat on my lap to eat. The keeper was really shocked because even they have a hard time getting Poppy to go near them XD

It was awesome!

We ended up in Starbucks, 'cause it was pretty much the only place open at that time on a Sunday night. Biggest city in the country and you can't get a drink on a Sunday night Posted Image

But it was a very fun night. Good pre-courser to the meetup!

Note for future fixing of this issue: Get a bucket. Fill it with almost scalding hot water and scoopfuls of salt. Soak foot until water cools. Repeat once more. I had the same problem before (I now keep my feet in better shape), and what happens is the hot water and salt soften up the infection and will eventually release the pus and blood in the water. I've had to do this twice in my life and it worked both times. Hopefully you can let the nail grow out enough so that it can be trimmed properly in future. The release of the pus and blood will (as I'm sure you now know) ease the pain considerably.
