Hellz yeah! Thought Melbourne would be in with a chance but I like to think when one of them injured Fasolo we basically decided to fuck them up. :p

He hurt Fasolo and the next tackle Cloke slammed him the hell down and the guy got up with his shirt almost torn in two XD

I loved the commentator's comment about not starting something with Collingwood unless you have experience with it because Collingwood is so used to having other teams start them that if you don't match their discipline and intensity they'll beat you down and walk right over you. XD

Prometheus.
Was awesome. Gave us some answers, and asked a whole bunch more questions.

Also, I just found out Ridley Scott has planned two more movies to further flesh out and explore that universe :p

Hoshit, you're kidding?! I had no idea he was planning on doing more with the setting, that's awesome news! Also, just generally:

What the fuck? What on earth do you DO that nets you 60/hour - even on a public holiday?! (Time and a half is the public hol rate here, so you'd need to be earning $40/hour to start to get that here?!)

Yeah, Ridley and Lindelof said that if/when they do sequel it would "move further away from" the ALIEN series.
Spoiler
I would be chuffed to see that!

I work at a video store. For some reason I get triple time on public hols lol everywhere else I've been though it's either double or double time and a half.

Yeah, double and half is pretty standard here. Go you on finding a place that does triple :p

Yup :p
I didn't hear about it till afterwards, but I am mighty pleased. I hadn't heard that they were thinking of moving further away from them, but either way, I don't care, I'm sure it will be awesome :p

Found out more info about my Japanese relatives/ancestors today in my search to connect our descended line to the proper samurai lineage. So far I've been able to get back conclusively to the 17th century, but I lose the trail there. Thankfully I may have found a Japanese cousin on Facebook who could possibly shed more light on the matter.

This is all stuff that's only been recently revealed in my life and it fascinates me to no end. So it makes me very happy to keep discovering.

As it stands now I am pretty sure our family were vassal's of the Tokugawa Shogunate, but I'm not totally done researching it yet, but the location seems indicative of that lineage.

Post-Battle Of Sekigahara, most Noble people under Tokugawa's peace during the Edo period were, yes (peasant masses were not considered related). But my family traces back to a clan that were under him during the late Sengoku period prior to the battle and prior to the Shogunate in general, sort of a party to his inner circle as he rose to power...apparently. It made me feel a little more connected to him I guess. It's interesting getting your lineage to go back that far.

Hooray!

My family's got preposterously well-documented family trees lying about, so not much exciting there.

This has had me laughing like a freak for a while now:
Posted Image

And I WISH that I had well documented family trees, I've been trying to put together mine for what seems like an age now but I'm hampered by two things: when I go back further than my great-grandparents (especially on my dad's side) the documents are mostly in Arabic and I don't read Arabic so...yeah. Secondly, a lot of docs were lost in 1948 when my dad and his family fled to Lebanon. That said, he claims that we go back to the Crusader era but that's largely based on the fact that our family came from Acre...flimsy evidence, IMHO. Anyway! One day I might splurge and hire someone to do the research but until then, I'll live. ;)
