Got my first game for my brother and I's shared Xbox. He set it up for me in my room and I have been playing Assassins Creed all day and I'm not completely usless at it which is coming as a massive surprise considering the last game I played was spyro (and I got stuck). I am sure I'm developing blisters on my thumbs and fingers, it hurts to type!

Im playing through Assassins Creed Brotherhood right now my friend and yes these games make your fingers and arm hurt on the 360 ed....

Ahh almost envious of you playing Assassins Creed for the first time. I completed brotherhood and it left me aching for more!

The thing I noticed most about the first time I played Assassin's Creed....was that when I would go out and walk around the city after, I was always looking at buildings for handholds and thinking to myself...I could climb that shit.

Fucking great series of games.

I found myself doing this one time after a test at uni - late at night, waiting for the bus, and there's this awesome white stone church complete with tower just sitting RIGHT THERE. No fences, guards, it's not doing anything...and I'm looking at it thinking "I could totally climb that" and started mapping out a route. It was definitely doable. Gotta love churches for that sort of thing...stupid sense of self-preservation and public duty. Gah. :D

Had the girlfriend over last night to meet the family. Contrary to my expectations, they treated her like an honoured guest. Contrary to her expectations, I was not freaked out by her parents in the slightest. Spent a good few hours watching Firefly.

And, uh, yeah, making out like wild rabbits. On my bedroom floor, on the couch and on my parents bed. That last one most of all.

As Wash once said, "Have you ever been with a warrior woman?" :D

Seeing her again Tuesday. Yee-haw.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Got an extension for my essay! Well-deserved, I might add! I'm so super happy about it, postgrad and work are not mixing well at the moment.

And Ain't, you're probably going to hate me a little bit, but you are fucking adorable. You need to know that and relish it.

Yeah I've been wary of climbing things since the time I jumped out of a tree, thankfully no broken bones, just a massive bruise, my shorts caught on a branch on the way down and I was hanging upside down for some time until my brother managed to extract me. Last time I tried to climb a streetlamp/wall I took the skin off my knee. My problem is making pretend dagger thrusts at my brother who doesn't appreciate me shoving my hand in his face every two seconds.

Ah well it's been a magic day despite the blisters.

That's because Welsh is a language formulated out of the consonants that English threw away, by the people that the English couldn't be bothered to teach, for the people that feel the need to speak incomprehensible nonsense.

Well, considering I can put on the suave latin man accent, no.

I just object to attempting to SPELL ANYTHING in Welsh.

Psch, you're all wrong. A YamYam accent sets the women running... in the opposite direction. Thankfully I've got rid of most of mine.

Getting my bonds back from my old job as a Sky salesman on the 20th. £202.60 doesn't seem too much, but fuck, it's money! And it's mine!
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Me and the ole lady are moving to New Orleans.

This is more queasy/nervous than happy. But she's getting her Masters at Tulane so i'll follow along happilly.

On the bright side, plenty of work for someone who flips houses!
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.
