A dash of vodka mixed with a little original Myth: The Fallen Lords. How I long for the early aughts.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Got a quick call from the doctor's office today, and I am not diabetic. So, I've got that going for me, which is nice. HOwever, I didn't get to discuss all my bloodwork with the doctor, it was just the assistant giving me the heads up about the diebetes. I have a feeling that one way or another, I'm not exactly healthy. Fortunately, all I need to do is not be such a fatass. Damn those 40 pounds I gained from quitting smoking.
Still, no diabetes.
Still, no diabetes.

Good news. My sister in law has to inject insulin everyday so I know how much effort type 1 diabetes is. Anyway good news and a good wake up call as well.

Actually, type 1 diabetes is no effort at all, so long as you are capable of carrying round some very small bits of equipment and can do some simple sums. I eat what I want, when I want. I do anything I want to do - from sitting on my bum all day to 6 hours caving. My control is described by the local diabetes staff as being too bloody good. If your s-i-l is struggling get her off mixed insulins and onto Humalog/Lantus split pens. The amount of control you have then is enough to eat nothing one day and an elephant sized bar of chocolate the next day without batting an eyelid. PM me if you want some more info...
As an example of how little effort it is, lunch was 9 hours ago and I've just eaten a whole pizza and about to open a bottle of Brakspear Triple and I was at normal levels before and firmly expect to have returned to normal sugar levels shortly. Type 2's are the ones with problems, they are diet controlled so have to watch what they eat. I struggle not to buy sweets every time I pass a shop.
I'm not sure why it took time to get results RLY, I can tell you if you are diabetic within a minute of meeting - testing can be done on the spot, provided you don't mind me taking a (very) small amount of your blood almost painlessly. No needles needed.
What's making me happy? A pint of Brakspear Triple (picked up from the Wychwood brewery a couple of weekends ago) in my lovely new leather tankard.

Thats really interesting actually as she counts carbs and does 'simple sums' as you put it all the time but she also seems to do alot more effort than you seem to be. Maybe its more severe because she was born with it I honestly dont know, but if apparently it has to do with the form of injections shes taking then maybe there is an alternative. I assume shes on mixed insulin now as I know shes on some form of insulin but I will tell her about these Humalog ones thank you.

How do I love Silencer? Let me count the ways.
I love Silencer to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love Silencer to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love Silencer freely, as men strive for Right;
I love Silencer purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love Silencer without a hidden agenda.
I love Silencer with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love Silencer with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love Silencer with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love Silencer better after death.

That Suvudu site is confusing... Where is the page that simply says "The Final: Quick Ben vs whomever" (Been trying to navigate & keep getting sent in circles. Some of the comments people are saying to Terez are hilarious though!)
Anyways I'm happy cos QB got through, though no doubt the millions of GRRM fans will descend upon the website soon, especially as GOT is out in a week or two...

I went back to Vista...but only because little things that really annoyed me about 7 and not because Vista is a better operating system cos it's not. My fridge has a better operating system then Vista...and it doesn't have one cos it's a fridge.
