It might have been the drunken partying teenager thing, but alchohol was banned. I think its better that way, to be honest. I have friends who regularly get shitfaced every Saturday and they vomit, have terrible hangovers, start coughing up blood even. I don't see the appeal.

Coughing up blood? That's messed up. I generally find the hangover is definitely worth the night before though. And that's the trick. Get plastered, have a whale of a time and take the hangover as the price for a crapload of fun. But I barely get hangovers from beer anymore though, so I'm good.
