Complete aside from the twitter exchange, someone alleged they heard it from him he might have a deal for a rerelease and more Caine books, but I can't say how solid that was.

'Biden administration plans to offer the next generation of coronavirus booster shots to Americans 12 and older soon after Labor Day

[...] two-day meeting [...] of experts [...] Sept. 1 and 2. [...] C.D.C. [...] would then make a final decision on whether to roll out the new doses. Shipments to states could begin as early as next week.

Officials plan to offer the new Pfizer booster to everyone 12 and older while limiting the new Moderna shot to adults. People who have already received the initial two-shot series of either vaccine would be eligible. So would those who have received the initial shots plus one or two booster shots.

[...] new shots combine the original vaccine with components aimed at BA.4 and BA.5, Omicron’s recent subvariants. Officials argue that the new formulations will deliver a stronger boost to the immune system than the existing vaccines provide.'

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Clearly the illuminati didn't have the CGI ready for the fake space footage.

Damn Marvel movies taking up all the good CGI studios.

I may have mentioned I have barely read a book since my kid was born 6 years ago. Maybe 2 a year, if that - if things were quiet and relaxed enough for reading I would just fall asleep. Well! We went on holiday and I took a real book instead of my kindle and had a phone detox (and had terrible anxiety that had me awake 3 hours before everyone else every day but ignore those useful newly discovered hours). I got 3/4 of the way through GotM in about 4 days!! I genuinely forgot how good these books were!

My sister (and brother-in-law) and I have made up and started to heal the relationship.

I would never have thought it possible honestly. But back when we almost lost my mom a few months back, she hugged me and said she was sorry twice.

She's never said sorry to me in my life.

But after the most recent events in the "Groove" thread, she sent my wife and I long notes about how she wishes she could take back everything she said to me, and erase the animosity of the last two years. She took responsibility for everything she said and did, and apologized for not being there for me when mom got sick as she should have been and asked for my forgiveness.

I have given it. I told my father-in-law that I have not forgotten the things the said and maybe I'm not all the way there to forgiving her, maybe like 70% and he stopped me and said "If you're going to forgive her, do it 100%....because clinging onto some upset about what occurred will only serve to keep those negative feelings hanging around and that's not healthy"...and he's right.

So I've forgiven her 100% and we will mend our fractured relationship.

They got vaccinated late last year and I think that was their first step out of the conspiracy-laden nonsense. And my mom's illness and impending death has made them realize what's important and it's family that they'd ostracized.

Again, I never thought I'd see the day, but it makes me happy to see my sister not only offer an olive branch, but be sorry about everything...it's simply not like her, and I hope over time this wound heals.

I've heard so many stories post-COVID of lost family members to the conspiracies....so to have mine not only return to the fold, but apologize and try to make endless amends...is astounding indeed.

Holy Johnny Appleseed Batman! The apple tree that abuts me and my neighbor's yard is fecund with an abundance of apples this year. Anyone have any good apple recipes? - pie, crisp, cake, turnovers, slap apple fun time games? These apples are the green variety, not sure what variety exactly but probably most likely a granny smith.

Thx.

There's so many I think I'm going to collect a basket and take it to the equestrian center nearby that has a program for special needs children - offering therapeutic rides and such to instill confidence and break through communication reticence.

Oh those horses will love that. It's been a drought summer for us and upstate NY apples are very small this year.

That's really great QT on so many levels. And your FIL is right, either you forgive or you don't. Good choice.

Between this and TLJ you've had quite the time of unexpected reversals!

I re-visited TLJ and I like it now. I still have some issues with it, but the main thrust of the film works fine for me now, and things I refused to see on my initial (and only) watch in theatre, changed when I re-watched.

Hallelujah! I knew that day would come, if I just used every birthday wish since 2017 on it.
