[Not-So-Great-Raven]

Just finished TCG and with it my first read of MBotF!

To be honest, the only reason it makes me happy is that I still have so much of the Malazan world to uncover. The God is Not Willing is waiting on my shelf, not to even mention all the other Erikson/Esslemont books I haven't even bought yet. (Though I'm pretty sure I'll read some books in Finnish first since that's something I haven't done in years. It's awkward to make more spelling mistakes in your native language than in English..)

The creativity grind looked to have dried up, but nope, another pathway just opened.

Sat at about 58k on the book 3 manuscript (having chopped out some stuff that is getting shifted to later books) so I expect this marks it as being somewhere between 1/4 to 1/3 complete. Get me that not pickle grindset going.

I've been having singing lessons since March and I recorded the second song I learned with my teacher for her autumn concert today - pre-recorded as she lives ages away, but it's going to be played in the concert along with a few other contributions from her online students. Really excited and quite pleased with the final version.

Our twins are girls! How exciting! My family is very male heavy traditionally (I was one of 5 boys, my brother has 4 boys and both mine and my other brothers first were boys) so this is basically unchartered territory for us haha.

They are releasing two new Kindle Paperwhite's later next month (adding in features like soft light, and such) and thus the 2018 version is now on sale for $35 cheaper than normal. So I got to replace my 2015 Kindle (8th Gen) which only has 4gigs of space, got wet and damaged in a rain storm and thus is a little wonky-screenwise.

So that's exciting. I'm patiently awaiting it. The only thing I'm not sure of is how easy or tough it will be to port all my unread ebooks onto it from my old kindle, or if I have to re-download each separately onto it.
