Just got in from a training walk with the outdoor group we all joined as Yorkshire Three Peaks prep..... and now doing Snowdon next weekend with them (that wasn't decided today, but was born out of the walking).

We did hill training and pole technique and all sorts. It's not a competition but I'm not going to lie, it's a hell of a confidence boost when you're one of the fittest in the group (and most of the group is training to do Kilimanjaro in September....) :p

You guys train to walk? Outdoors?? Is this because Midsomer England is just one continuous murdervillage? Do you do weapon drills?

and pole technique and all sorts.

Ahhh, the weapon drills. Or twerking?

Yes. Anybody who can't fire three shots a minute with a rifle gets left.

Many of them. Some of them have eyes!

:p

I mean, why choose when you could do both? :D

Ok now I have a picture of TRB and friends dressed in medieval garb and twerking their way through some lovely picturesque hills and villages to the bemusement of the country folk...

I guess it is a matter of perspective. I mean, is this a "wow, you're in great shape" or a "dear gods, Kilimanjaro is set to claim more lives" situation?

On a more serious note though, love the Peaks. Me and the missus walked along Stanage Edge a few weeks back. Unexpected sunburns, but so worth it. Yorkshire is God's Country.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Haha, I think it's a "I'm fitter than I thought, which is great" but also a "they have a good few months of training yet and are going with experienced folks, I'm sure they'll be fine".

Walked up Stanage Edge the week before, as it happens! Lovely spot :p I grew up that side of Sheffield so it's only about twenty minutes from where my Dad lives.

Band recorded a demo track for our song 12250 in Friday. It's sounding pretty cool.

This sits right up there with "Let's split up so we can cover more ground searching for our missing friend in this creepy woodland."

Nah don't worry about it. There's a deeper meaning to it but that's what the lyrics deal with. I was last out of that room and had to bear up everyone else as they fell apart.

Ah, they finally axed the Jeremy Kyle show. 15 years too late. Shame it took a death to finally get that vile piece of trash off the TV, but at least it is dead and buried now.
