Sorry to read about your arm Centz, I hope it heals up well. Glad to see you back.

We are less than 400 posts from passing the one million mark on this version of the forum.

Just let BK start a new series, we'll be there by tonight.

I spent the weekend in Edinburgh for my youngest brother's wedding. It was amazing plus there was a bunch of friends and family I haven't seen for ages, great to catch up!

Also on the way home I stopped by Bebbanburg and that was great as I love the Saxon Stories so much!

No. Isn't that a Baen bk author? I admit to judging books by their cover with them. Never read one put out by them as far as I can recall.

I would recommend picking that series up. Its insanely fun.

I went a couple of years back and enjoyed it - but as castles in Northumberland go, I personally think Chillingham is a better one.

It would be the Cornwell connection that would need me full stop I guess. I like castles but there's a lot more famous ones I have yet to visit

I really liked it - didn't have enough time to do a full walk around so we just hung around the outside and suchlike. It's in a really pleasant little town too and there's a beautiful bit of coastline around there.

Does it count all the posts from deleted threads? I think apt and DW had a million posts each in the now defunct awesome pics and the Trickster (rip).

I mean BK usually writes about 26 posts where one will do so I'm fairly sure most of the 1,000,000 are his anyway! :p

Inn posts aren't counted, AFAIK. This caused a mild uproar back in the day when post counts were all the rage. The policy used to be that once a thread reached a certain size it was automatically deleted and a new one started. Mind you the server situation was shittier back then and the picture threads used to be a huge drain.

The post count wars weren't as vicious as the rep wars but I remember them well...

Is this why Westeros.org shuts down threads after a certain number of posts?

United Bid (United States, Mexico and Canada) wins 2026 World Cup.

I love our Canadian members. Sure I razz you babies sometimes and you get mad at me, but lets work together and make the 2026 World Cup the best ever. And hey Canada, you automatically qualify, so no worries about winning any matches leading up to the event.

I love Mexico more though. Are there any Mexican member here at Malazan Empire? I don't think there is, sadly.

ah ah ah, don't be counting those chickens before they hatch.

having 3 host nations auto qualify is still being debated

1900 miles between hist cities in russia was bad enough.
Edmonton to Mexico city is 3000.

this is twaddle, an average fan trying to follow their team on a run to the final can't possibly afford the travel.

total bollocks.

and 38 teams with 80- matches? fuck off

Ah, did not know that. I guess the 2026 World Cup will expand to add more teams. Also, United States will host 60+ games with Mexico and Canada hosting about 10 each.

Also someone into this stuff at my office pointed out that apparently since the three host countries get automatic "qualification"...that this means that spots are already off the roster, which seems...unfair.

But yeah, the distance between all three places is stupid.

Who knows, we might get a sequel to Alive out of this.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.
