Back home from cottage at a decent hour for once.
sunburnt, sleepy, exhausted, probably still mildly drunk.
Gonna crash hard most likely- but there's plenty of time to sleep everything off.

Made a nice accidental discovery!
When I was a child my parents used to do "stay on a farm" holidays in Devon and Dorset, and a particular one near Tiverton in Devon we kept returning to as we liked the area and grew to know the owners.
I was planning on a week in Devon next year for my 30th, as there's a centre offering horseback falconry experiences that I want to go to. Completely by chance I discovered the farm is still there, still offering self catering accommodation and it's the same couple still running it.
Guess where I'm going next year!

Jackie Jackie Jackie Jackie Goal! Jackie Goal! Jackiegoo-oo-oal!
Yay.
Yay.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

If there is any small glimmer of happiness I can take away from UCL title match today, it would be that Gareth Bale stole Ronaldo's shine. So nana-nana boo-boo, stick your head in doo-doo, Ronaldo.

According to the new PC groupthink I probably should be all huffy and offended but I've been laughing for the last 5 minutes. This is gold.

My glimmer of happiness is that Liverpool lost! 😀 And yes Ramos is and has always been a bit of a thug. Should he have been sent off? Not 100% it kind of looked like it was a bit of a tussle between them. And I like Salah I feel for him, especially if he is missing the World Cup.

I just got The Art of Solo book delivered.
It's...gorgeous. It has that lovely new book ink smell, and it is absolutely packed - unlike some of the more recent contributions.
I've only had a quick browse, but there's some great stuff in here. Can't wait to get into it later. If you ever get these 'Art of' books, this one's a must.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Out most of the day, biking and running errands.
Gorgeous scorching day (plus 26, feels like 32)
Only 1 week to go @ work before I switch to 4-day weeks for the summer.
And outdoor season starts this week.
I love summer

Nah, the tan lines would be horrific,
Sleeveless shirt, cut-off jean shorts and sandals is the most practical set-up.

Throw in some aviator sunglasses and bleached tips and you too can relive the 80's!

Athletes are not heroes. They can be role models, but never heroes. Real heroes risk their lives, without hesitation. Like this guy:
http://www.news.com....3edcd2bd3013ed6
And a great result for him too.
I can't help but think but for that one act of insane bravery he could be just like so many others, hiding out, hoping to stay out of notice etc.
You can argue for or against an act of bravery having amazing benefits, but I like to think maybe it's that whole karma thing. Even if I'm not sure it exists, I'd like to think maybe it does.
Hmmm, another time I know what I want to say but can't articulate it.

Well...
It's been a number of years trying and we've suffered a miscarriage but yesterday we had the twelve week scan and I can confirm that we're having a baby! So far everything points to it being fine and healthy. I am so blessed and grateful. Due date 8th December.
