Jack in the box. Holy shit it's yummy and gooey. Next month I'm hitting Dairy Queen when I come here to TX.

Go to Taco Cabana so I can live vicariously through you!!

I ll have to look that up. Don't think I heard of it before. Is it like Taco Bell?

Much, much better.

Been in Tulum for five days. Have two and a half more days here. It's been amazing. Six cenotes swum in, a beer float through the Sian Ka'an lagoons, seeing Ek Balam, going through Valladolid, having a beachfront bungalow, eating amazing foods sporadically in between decent foods, and being with the lady I love very much.

WiFi sucks something fierce, but hey, can't win them all.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

We took our son to his first acrobatics class today. He was clearly really nervous but he gave everything a shot ("It was a bit scary but me decided to just be brave.") and didn't get disheartened when he couldn't do something ("That's what practise is for, Mummy.")

We stayed for the next two available classes - dance and music/drama - as well.
He enjoyed dance but he absolutely loved music and drama so we've enrolled him into all three classes.

I was really curious to see how he would take to a structured learning environment. He has no experience with it except for his swimming lesson but there's only, at most, one other kid at that. He did far better than we expected. He never ran over to us except after each lesson, he followed instructions really well, and he kept trying things even if he wasn't sure how to do them. Plus, he was okay with us leaving the room between lessons. He did look over every now and then for a reassuring thumbs up but by the last class he mostly forgot we were there.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how he progresses with this.

My wife had won tickets for Holiday on Ice and we went today.

Leaving the trainstation I noticed a cosplayer and I wondered aloud if there was a fantasy thing going on today and my wife answers yes, turns out that Dutch Comic Con was also this weekend at the same venue.

After watching the Holiday on Ice we walk past the hall where the Comic Con was held and my wife says if you want to go, get a ticket and go. I'll wait outside.

If I only had known it was this weekend I would have put on my long coat and my Vortex Manipulator on my wrist or ordered the burgundy All-stars to go with my blue suit and the 10th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver.

While I felt a bit out of place concerning my clothes I really geeked out on things that I saw there including two Batmobiles (a modern one and a classic) and different Lego builds including Battlestar Galactica Vipers and Cylon Raiders.

And not to forget some truly awesome cosplayers.

Stopped by Walgreens today to buy some fun essentials and batteries for my flashlight and on the way to register I found a carton of Cadbury Creme Eggs so I snatched 6 packs!! I love these things.

Yummmm, those are so good! I haven't had one in a few years, but now I'm thinking I should pick up a pack when I go grocery shopping this weekend.

As for moi, I found out that I'm getting a bonus at work, and if I've calculated things correctly it should be enough to pay for 95% of the new PC that I want to buy.

Sounds weird but I'm glad Matador is unwell today. He was unwell overnight and called in sick to work this morning before we were aware of the weather warning. Had he gone to work he would've had a really hard time getting home as several of the roads he takes are currently flooded.

New canon 24mm prime lense on the way. The thing is tiny (not called a pancake lense for nothing), can't wait to test it over the weekend.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Matador was home again today, not due to illness but road closures, so I decided to take a reclusive day. I've spent the whole day in my bedroom and gaming room (it's a repurposed walk-in closet), playing games, reading, doing absolutely fuck all.

It's been glorious.

Just finished Mass Effect Andromeda.

I was so worried that they'd screw it up. So freakin happy that they not only met but also surpassed everything I had hoped for.

Time to start making a new character I guess. :(
