Neil Kaplan, the voice actor who voices Zarkon (and a heap of other character's like Obito from Naruto), sent me a recitation of my favourite poem as read by Zarkon!!!

Got to the bus stop this morning to realize I lost one of my gloves.
Get off at the subway station, start walking towards it... and I see the glove lying on the ground, in the exact same spot it must have fallen out of my pocket yesterday morning.
Good start to the day.

I started watching Voltron but then I got a message to say Alex Bledsoe had posted an Eddie LaCrosse short story, which I read, and now I can't decide whether I want to watch Voltron or read Bledsoe (#firstworldgeekproblems), so I am doing both...at the same time.

Need to take it easy and use the sling for 2 weeks, until I can start physio, but otherwise its as good as could be expected

I'm going out tonight with the women I met at antenatal class. None of us have been OUT out much in the last 18months. It's either going to be dull or absolute carnage.

And maybe a little terrifying. Like going for a quick round of football with a colleague only to realise he's been Lionel Messi all along.

As big as that photo is, what people don't realise is the glass is still only 1:4 the size it is in real life because it's Macros' special custom hand-fitted glass they keep for him down at his local.

Today was a good day.
It was a government holiday here. So my fiancee and I took the day off. We went to a fair, we went shopping, (I bought a book!) we took long walks, we ate out... its the kind of day I love and have to few off. Its the little things that always make me happy.

Concussion is lifting. Still a little off but mostly fine now. No hospital trip for me!
Edit: This is going to sound strange but I'm happy that I have had 15 concussion and not 14. Earlier today my brother thought it would be fun to list out all my concessions (I don't know why, ask him!) and the list came to 14 and it has been bothering me all day.
See, a part of my OCD is around numbers. Some numbers are good, like 3, 5, 13, 15, 23, 25, 42 etc
Other numbers are acceptable, like 1, 7, 9, 21, 53, 55 etc
Most numbers are tolerable: 2, 4, 8,10, 12, 18, 20 etc
Some are barely tolerable, like 6, 14, 17 etc
And some are completely intolerable, like 11. I can't handle things being in a group of 11 or the volume being set to 11 etc.
So 15 is a lot better than 14.

Regaining function in the arm. Still can't straighten it, but it bends enough so that I could shave this morning.
Seeing these incremental improvements makes it easier to tolerate general impatience with overall recovery.

After 6 years, I had my last day at work in Ipswich. Now it's holidays until back to work in Townsville on Jan 19.
