I feel a bit out of the loop on this. Were the winners underdogs?

No they weren't. Well at one point they were down 3 games to 1 so it was unlikely that they would have won. But initially they were favored going into the series. They hadn't won a championship since 1908.... till now.

1908.....ok!

They must be so happy now!

Yeah I think that the city is still banging pots and pans. There are only about 4 people in my office this morning. I expect that there are going to be a couple of no shows or late shows.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

What about them? That sounded rough. Here try this one

What about the fucking Sox fans?

They didn't even make it to the playoffs. They won in 2005 anyway.

Nobody likes the White Sox, they just like the hats.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

The Cubs win MLB World Series. If Donald Trump wins the presidency, with these last two prophesies, doesn't that mean the last horse rides out? Posted Image

I think the Minnesota Vikings or Cleveland Browns have to win the Superbowl, too, so I think we can all relax for the time being.

Living in Chicago my whole life I've noticed something about White Sox fans, they are very jealous of the Cubs. What makes it worse is most Cubs fans simply don't care about the White Sox which drives them crazy.

That's awesome! Posted Image

Did she also make you send a photo of the poop to Shiara? Because that's what my son did when he first did a poop in his potty all by himself. Posted Image

He also tried to get me to send her one of the first poop he did by himself in the toilet but I managed to talk him down to just sending a text.

Ireland beat the All Blacks (new Zealand) in Rugby for the first time ever. That's 111 years. Which is a level of futility that exceeded even that of the Chicago Cubs.

I was watching a replay of the game and i still can't believe we managed to hold out. Amazing result.

I really want to see the game! It sounds like it was really top class rugby, which I've come to expect from Ireland despite the epic losing streak.

The New Zealand comeback was quite terrifying as an Irish fan. One minute we had a really comfortable lead, and then Johnny Sexton made a tactical mistake, the momentum shifted, and New Zealand are running in tries as easy as you like.

The fact that Ireland were able to regain their composure and hold out for the win is amazing to me, especially considering how often before we've run them close, but inevitably fallen at the end. To be finishing the stronger was weird.

There'll be plenty of celebrating in Chicago tonight, you can be sure of that.

Congrats Ireland! :)

And 12 penalties to 4?! Obviously the ref missed the memo about All Blacks being a protected species. :p

Yes, definitely, fellow rugbo fans. It is the sport I also love to watch and cheer the teams. We did it!
