This week end a couple of friends and I bought a vacation for Cambodia early next year. Beaches, jungles, ruins, and for a few days a beach bungalow on an island right on the edge of the jungle and the beach with a view westwards out over the ocean.

I guess I'll have to buy a kindle now.

A lot of things this week.
So Toro Rosso know that I'm leaving now. Sorted that it today, and I'm glad it's over with. I hate handing my notice in. Especially when I don't particularly want to leave. One less stress now. They were fine and totally understand my situ.
My agent was gutted though, I could see the panic writ plain on his face when I told him.
Soz Bogdan!!
They already needed 10 more guys for the build season. 11 now. Lol.
Just booked Herself to come and and join me for four days too. Gonna take her to Rome for a couple of nights.
Soooo looking forward to it.
Then I got me a week off before I start at Renault.
Yeah it's all coming together now.
;)

Congrats! Did your agent not know that you were going to sign for a different team?

That feeling of being horribly violated by a mentally challenging exercise and succeeding. I feel like somebody poured vinegar in my eyes though.

No they only deal with this team. They asked me to stay and see the build out, I feel a bit for them.
Don't know why but it's hard getting guys out there.
I got to look after myself on this one though.
So now I have to go work with another recruitment agency!!

@Grim: Was that a translation project or something more expansive?

We've translated and adapted it from the original Japanese to Norwegian, given it a new cover, that sort of thing. One down, 13 more to go ;)

2016 has been an ace year for new albums. This week, The Dear Hunter released their new album, Act V. If you don't know them, Acts I-IV are all stunning.

So that's what is making me happy!

Well done RLY, that's some impressive weight loss. I need to drop something like that amount as well in the coming months, so it's reassuring to see someone else manage it.

Still struggling with the diet, but I've finally managed to get back into the exercise properly, and so i have those welcoming aches and pains that come from actually having put in an effort. And I play my first 11-a-side soccer match for about 3 years tomorrow evening, which should be entertaining as it's an over-35's league and most of us won't have played together for nearly 10 years. Looking forward to it.

It's all about the calorie counting. It's so easy to underestimate your intake if you aren't tracking every bite. It gets obsessive but strangely a bit fun. I try to keep it under 1200 calories a day but allow myself up to 1500 on special occasions, like the weekend. 1500 is as low as is "medically recommended," whatever that means.

I did this when I was trying to keep my weight at a certain level, and it for sure works (I used to use a calorie tracker, but now I know what most of the stuff I put in my stomach costs calorie-wise and I can do it in my head). Beyond that, for the special ociassion days you can offset your calorie count by doing an hour of excercise. I used to do this on days where I knew I was going out and consuming a lot of beer (for example), I could offset an entire sixpack of beer with an hour of running. Just dropping 200 calories from what you used to eat every day will slowly shed the pounds. Good for you man!

My first class, I got kneed in the balls so hard I had to go to the bathroom and take a poop.

Still loved it and I hope you do too. Sometimes, it is a struggle to show up and be competent. Sometimes, I feel like a golden god. Most days, it is a mix and I am almost always glad I showed up (except that one day where I did MMA sparring with a migraine. Don't do that.).

I'm so out of shape, still heavier than I have ever been while exercising, and in a low carb/low calorie diet. I barely made it through the warm up. By the time we got to talking Any actual Jiu-jitsu I wanted to die. I had fun though. It really showed me how long ago high school wrestling was though. My body just doesn't react the way it used to.
