Oxycodone. This stuff is nice.
My friend and I have this weird built in tolerance for that stuff such that regular prescriptions didn't help us deal with the pain from his knee surgery/my lung collapse.
We both ended up getting stronger stuff in a much smaller amount and then just toughing through the hurt. I don't wish this experience on other people, so I'm glad it works for you. It worked better for my brother during his wrist surgery, so it isn't something widespread in my family.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I may or may not have just finished 18 straight hours of BioShock 2 and Bioshock: Infinit.
Fuck me those were good stories. At some point in Bioshock one I killed a protagonist while thinking " That's for hurting my daughter you son of a bitch" ...
Also, I was familiar with the main concept of the Infinite (Come on, that's like first grade sci-fi) but it was implemented so well here that it still fucked with my mind. Poor Booker.
Overall, I think I'm getting withdrawal like you would when you finish a good series.

It is legally prescribed for my surgery pain. No worries, I am out of it after tomorrow so this isn't going to be an ongoing thing. I'm not going to lie though, I am enjoying it while it lasts. I can totally see how people develop a problem with this stuff. If I needed to be on it for a long amount of time I might be I trouble when it was time to stop. After only a week though there should be no problem.

As I have mentioned before, I occasionally spend a couple of evenings reading to my visually challenged friend. Recently we finishes Lord of the Rings, which he loved. Now we are reading Hound of the Baskervilles. And once again its so great to read these classic works with somebody who is encountering them for the first time. His reactions, his enthusiasm, the way he stops me occasionally so he can puzzle his way through the information and create his own theories, it really makes me happy to be a part of this experience.

Snotface scored a goal at soccer today. Which in and of itself is pretty damn cool, but more importantly it put her in a good mood. Which puts me in a good mood.

I have it on 360 but never played it. I was a little put off by how underwhelming BS1 was. Is Infinite worth a go-through then?

Finally got a haircut.
Now I got at least a month and a half of not worrying if I forgot to comb it in the morning.

Hmm you may not like it if you didn't like BS1 but I think it is better then that. Visually it is stunning and the world is so different compared to the underwater one... If it was the gameplay you didn't like then I'm not sure it will be different enough to make you like it again...

I get one of those every 2 or 3 years whether I need one or not. Hat > comb.

I get to meet and interview Rob DenBleyker from Cyanide and Happiness this weekend! He's coming to Geekon on the 9th and 10th in Oslo, and I get to play journalist/talk-show host
Everything else might suck big hairy donkey balls right now, but at least I have something really cool to look forward to!
I also get to interview Siri Pettersen (Norwegian fantasy writer) and talk to her about books and stuff....FUUUUUUCK YEEEEEAAAH!
Also, I might have been made editor in a new publishing house... but that's not quite certain yet.
Also also, I played Quantum Break for almost 20 hours straight and got a nosebleed. It was pretty damn awesome.
There's light at the end of the tunnel.... Might be a freight train, though.

Iceland is just the best. Did a Moonwalker trip to the Snæfellsnes region and ended up bombing up a glacier with another 4x4 trip led by the ex-drummer from Solstafir, one of my favourite bands! So that was pretty cool.
