There's wet water on Mars.
'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.'

'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.'

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master — that's all.'

Yup, especially the "wet water" part is important. From NASA:

Quote

New findings from NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) provide the strongest evidence yet that liquid water flows intermittently on present-day Mars.

Link: NASA confirms evidence that liquid water flows on today's mars

Evidence of actual liquid water is pretty new.

Kim Stanley Robinson must be crossing his fingers that he got constantly-fucking octogenarians right next.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Damn it I knew I meant to add 'in space'

Apologies for misleading you all as to how likely your grandparents were still getting it on for decades (they totally were, while you were in the house sleeping as a child too)

How you gonna make a post like that and then not come back after the ceremony to say how it went?

I went to a Planned Parenthood rally. A friend of mine asked if I wanted to go and gave me sign materials.

My "Deaf Guy Who Still Listens To Women On Healthcare" sign was made in 5 minutes and was a huge hit. I may appear on local news because of this.

Picture of the sign is at the Twitter link below:

Fucking around on OKCupid is delighting me. Not being mean, not being degrading, just asking the most random fucking questions I can and getting answers is so, so very funny. Maybe we'll even date! Lol.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Ask her if a hotdog is a sandwich. Then posit that burritos, wraps, gyros etc are all sandwiches. Then ask her if chili is soup. If she agrees, drop the bomb that cereal is soup then too.

People have strong, strong opinions on that stuff and since it's not politics or religion, it's a great longer discussion to have.

BK. BK is making me happy. To Waterstones on lunch!

EDIT: paperback is preorder only. That's a bit dildos, but I'm content to wait.

New Zealand is completely and utterly beautiful. I can abscond into the bush and become a citizen right?
