Indeed, I was going to say Puck...those are pretty damned amazing!

Thanks, guys :D

It's kind of surreal to see this in printed form..

Edit: Curious about this, do you use fountain pens to write?

I have to admit that I did not write the last pages, I just lucked out and found a font that did exactly what I needed it to do. I do use one of those pens you have to dunk into an inkwell for drawing, though.

That's really incredible Puck. I especially like the 4th pic, the postures and the shift in what's foreground and background are super. Hope the presentation goes well!

DONE! I'm all officially free now! :D

And thanks, everyone! ;) I'm glad people other than me myself think it's cool. I've stared so much at this I cannot really tell anymore. But the feedback at the presentation was great and here on the board, too, which makes me really happy :D

I worked on this for about a year. GUess it's possible to do that faster, but it was my first project of that scale.

Congrats Puck... That's pretty damned impressive work. The linework is amazing. Do I see a stylistic hint of From Hell period Eddie Campbell in there?
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Bertrand Russell

Thanks ;)

That's quite possible. It's roughly the same time period, and also I read From Hell shortly before I started drawing, and then had a look at it again when I was stuck regarding what font to use for the speech bubbles, so I basically just copied the way From Hell does it.

in the UK people refer to that as 'Happy Hardcore'. Which just makes me think of Converge and Hatebreed cuddling each other.

Oh man, the phrase "Happy Hardcore" takes me back to my 90's rave days.

NOTE: Is it as maligned today as it was back in the day? Man, it was frowned upon by most of my DJ friends. If you weren't Anabolic Frolic...you should not be spinning HH. LOL

Example:

Stop the video before it melts your brain from saccharine awfulness.

And because I am loathe to leave you with that terrible taste in your mouth, here is a solid non-HH track to cleanse the palate.

Ban everyone who's been to a rave.

Which guitarist do you know? I've spoken with Stu before it turns out as he used to know someone from a different forum I've posted on (small world again). They had me at SHODAN.
