Got a book-shaped package in the post this morning. Yes, it is.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

If it helps, over the weekend not only will my gran still be around, but my aunt, uncle and two cousins will be visiting and not leaving until Sunday. And a friend ungraciously decided to be born 25 years ago today, causing me to go out drinking and not read more today. Hell, if I finish it by Saturday night it'll be a miracle.

OH WELL

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Just back from the doctor, and it was all a mixup. I do not have the problem the insurance company told me I had, I am not gong to go blind, nor will I be losing my eye. Stupid assholes. I was a bit worried, I have to admit.

Congratulations Ray, can and will you be taking any action against the Insurance turds ?
Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

Glad to hear you're going to be okay. You must have been in a panic waiting to find out what was going on.

A little bit, yes. Those bastards.

On a lighter note, I just found a massage school where I can get Dr. Luxury Wife an hour long massage for 35 bucks to celebrate her taking the boards today. Sweet.

My sound-card threw a hissy-fit yesterday and started stammering every few seconds, for want of a better way to describe it. But it has now randomly fixed itself. Hooray for technology that follows no logic ;)

My golf swing came back! Yay!
Best round I've played for a few months.
Nice sunny day, golf course to myself.
Nothing better.
Rejoice. For very bad things are about to happen

Whew. Did you have a "face your own mortality" moment/s? ;)

I'm happy because the Pies have thrashed Richmond by 93 points-an enjoyable afternoon.
