"Copying and pasting in Inkscape creates pixellated images instead of copying the vector objects Starting with XQuartz 2.3.2, X11 has some functionality to exchange the content of the clipboard with OS X. But it currently does not know how to deal with vector images so it just captures the screen, i.e. creates a bitmap copy, and then pastes that. You need to deactivate this functionality in X11 preferences > Pasteboard: uncheck "Update Pasteboard when CLIPBOARD changes". However, this will also prevent copying text from any X11 application to Mac OS X ones. It will not prevent copying text from OS X to X11."

They finally fixed this*. Which means I can now create an individual file for each game piece!!! No more huge file containing everything needed for all species, discoveries, ship tiles, etc. A file can be created from scratch using only those needed for that game.

happy dance for days!

*Meaning I finally found out they fixed this. *shrug*

Solution found: let the referring counsel know that said assistant is fucking up the case. And their fee.

I got to listen on speaker phone while not one but two lawyers got their asses handed to them. Pure bliss. She did it Socratic style with all questions; let them chew themselves out with the answers.

Full diplomatic relations re-opened between the US and Cuba.

It only took them half a century.

Surgery was moved forwards due to a cancellation, went as well as possible and I'm going home today! :-D

Happy to say Midnight Tides got me through a long sleepless night of bed-next-door being a champion snorer and bed-opposite talking to herself and wandering about confused for half the night!

Our lad cat was a proper bellend yesterday. Found one of my earplugs (which I wear for sleeping) and ate it, then sicked the bastard thing up!

Hey

My Aunt was diagnosed with Cancer and just a week ago had surgery. My mom told me to buy a book called Beat Cancer: How to Regain Control of Your Health and Your Life

Its apparently written by a woman who is some professor and survived cancer and wrote this as to what to eat. Obv not ignoring modern medicines and procedures but doing so alongside them. She was really into it and translated a lot for her.

I dont really know too much about it but who knows, maybe it will interest or even help. Sure as hell cant hurt to check it out.

Dear Mr. Erikson,

Yo, you're a great writer. However, this whole bullshit that whenever one of your books begin, the reader doesn't know what the fuck is going on, yeah....that's getting old. Book 5--the start is possibly the most boring shit I've ever tried to get through. You stretch the patience of the reader through your own creative hubris.

There's a reason why this goes against all known, literary rules. This is because it's objectively poor writing. You balance it out with phenomenal writing at the end, but I can't help but wonder how good you *could* be if your books were entertaining *all* the way through.

Sincerely,

A fellow professional writer.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

It will still work though, right?

My cat carries them away and hides them in odd places.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I had a court case regarding the literary rules. The offending author was punished with a pretty hefty fine. I'm surprised SE haven't been on the receiving end of the same.

Why do you think Fall of Light is taking so long? He has been embroiled in a lengthy case in the literary court!

I love everything about this clip, the mans a genius, and if you're a bit of a leftie, then you will too.
However, those voting for the UKIPS might want to steer clear.
