I'd have to agree with Briar King.

What is it with all you USAians calling scones biscuits? That's almost more annoying that calling crisps chips.

Happy? Internal transfer in progress, I'll be living in our house all week rather than at weekends and back with folks for the work week, all within 4 weeks. I'll miss this place but not enough to stay.

They're more like dumplings. The gloopy sauce is nothing like proper gravy though...

Such passionate hatred can only be interpreted as jealousy.

This is one of those times you realise there is a wider cultural gap between the Brits and the Barba Americans than you generally realise.

@Americans: That meal thing looks to us like Haggis looks to you.

You freaks

I FINALLY GOT MY WISDoM TEETH OUT. A wee bit overdue, being 24 and having this recommended to me since I was.. 20? 19? One had erupted too, so it was pricey, bluh. But STILL, very glad that that's over with, even if I do look like a chipmunk.

Also, the new feminist group I joined at the beginning of this summer has been slowly growing, and I'm now its social media head (or as I like to say, Social Media Czar). I even cobbled together our own wordpress site, with linkys to everything everywhere, and I'm just super proud of that and us and doing activist stuff. The previous feminist meetup group I was a part of was only a book club, and had this awful transphobic lady who didnt think she was transphobic, and it made me super uncomfortable and I left that group in April feeling very dissatisfied and like there wasnt anything feminist to DO in Denver, besides book club type stuff (which I like, but for my activism, I also want ACTION). So this group is really just great to be a part of, and it's nice to be around other feminists who want to be inclusive and actively fight against transphobia and racism and all the stuff that some groups overlook or ignore.

ALSO ALSO, I've started my vet tech program two weeks ago, so hopefully in a year I'll have my Associate's, which means I'll qualify to take the VTNE, and then I can be certified!!! ANd paid more!!! And specialize in clinical pathology and look at diseased things and play with microscopes and do necropsies!!! Very exciting. One step at a time.

ALSO ALSO ALSO, I went to Ikea and made my apartment even homier. I fucking love home improvement/interior design stuff, and feeling like I can live in a cute little place that I made cute, dammit!!! i MADE IT SO CUTE. #CUTENESSGOALS2k14

Speaking of cuteness goals, I also bought three of these, because omygosh, shiny, put it on my lips now, make me the angry feminist witchy lip glossy lady I want to be, all in time for HALLOWEEN.

Lastly but not leastly, i'm posting on this site??? haven't been here in what feels like forever???? hello everyone!!!

OH YEAH, I also got a job the week before school started, which is nice to have as part-time thingy and to try and save up while in school. I was hired as a "Pet Care Assistant" at a Banfield (the clinics that are part of the same company as PetSmart, and are attached to them), and this position was a step below the Vet Assistant position, but I thought, hey why not, maybe I'll work my way up, I did JUST get my Vet Assistant certificate, so it makes sense to do something entry level.

Then on my first day of work I was told that a company-wide position change had been made to completely get rid of the Pet Care Assistant title, and I was like... um.. am i fired or something, but before I could ask that, my practice manager was like, "haha so congrats, you've been here only 5 minutes and you're already promoted to a Vet Assistant! Yay!" So that was a nice surprise, and it definitely looks better on my resume. :)

Nuu don't be paranoid!! It just looks like a lot of good news because I haven't been on here in a while. It accumulates... which is a good thing. I guess it would suck if nothing good accumulated at all??

Love.

Nah, I know I can't do without my coffee. Besides, love often complicates simple matters, so it's not always fun; coffee is easier.

That's a good attitude. Love should make you paranoid.
