I got my sister to pick up The Mirror Empire. Usually she reads paranormal romance which is fine but I hope this books kickstarts a interest in both epic fantasy and interest in feminist fiction (though not say some paranormal romance isn't, I don't read much, but I doubt the stuff she reads is).

NZ elections are over. Regardless of the result, this at least means I no longer have to listen to our elected representatives talking over each other like children in various debates, and it will no longer feel like anyone is studiously trying to avoid the topic of elections at work. Woo!

lost 4kg thus far (in my aim to get a 6 pack lol, cliche I know, but I always wanted one, (not of beer either) and I WILL get one) and to aid in this my Bowflex 1090s arrived on Friday. My gym is looking sick, got a new Bowflex 5.1 bench to match, as I am 6'3" and my current bench isnt made for a human my height apparently. Gonna be smashing the weights now, lets get huge and lean. YES!

Yes it feels good. I really miss being all cut up. I got nice and buff the 1st yr of being divorced then I got the Flu and stopped going to the gym and just haven't been back in 3 yrs lol.
Man, thats a huge flu! lol. Hopefully I can get there in the next 6 or so months, and keep up with it, and after reading this, avoid the flu!!
