Went for a job interview last week (for editing film), and when they explained what the actual job would be, I knew I didn't have the experience required to get it (and to be honest I didn't want it). But I knew one of my old classmates had done an interview that morning, had more experience than me and did want the job.

So when they asked me a question about editing, I basically told them that I was technically pretty good, but I wasn't sure if I had a real natural flair for it, like this classmate of mine, who edited one of our student films. I told them she was great, which wasn't an exaggeration.

And today, I got my rejection letter for that job, but I found out my friend got it instead. And they even mentioned to her what I had said, so it must have had some impact.

And, as i mentioned in my last post, I got a job offer since to do more camera related stuff, so it all worked out perfectly.

Scrubs are ridiculously comfy.

As in, I may start wearing them full-time, Mon-Fri.

ALSO, I get to go grocery shopping and errand-running looking all medical and official and stuffs. ;)

Hey I'm slightly further north than BK. I just don't have a lot of experience with snow ;)

My new glasses work pretty well for me.

On the otherhand, I think I'm getting close to bifocals because my eyes are straight fucked. And that's depressing for someone in their mid 30's.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. I'm quite happy at work. We did super-well over christmass, and all my colleagues are awesome!


Also redecorating the apartment which will give us not one, but two game/movie rooms(two projectors, two screens, two ps4s etc), so that I can play Dragon Age Inquisition uninterrupted, while Mr Awesome plays or watches something else. Can't fucking wait till we're done!
Things and stuffs...and other important objects.
