I just had my Firday morning treat, bacon on a teacake, giving me the opportunity to sing my bacon on a teacake song (it's just "the phrase: "bacon on a teacake" sung to the tune of The Smiths 'Girlfriend in a Coma')

What exactly is a teacake?

Just finished watching an awesome game of football, and am hopefully heading out tonight. Plus I don't have to work Monday.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Grilled an awesome dinner tonight. Pork loin, seasoned with onion salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Fresh asparagus. Red skinned potatoes with sweet onion and fresh garlic cooked in foil with butter and pepper.

The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

Well... "Okonomiyaki" means something like "whatever you like... grilled", so you can put pretty much anything on it. In Europe it's sometimes also called Japanese pizza because there are no limits to what you can add to the original mixture. Basically, what we did yesterday was a mixture of cabbage (cut in fine, thin strips), green onions, eggs, dashi, flour, dried mushrooms and shrimps. The most important ingredient that gives the whole mixture its characteristic flavour is the okonomi sauce (the dark thingy on the top) that gets added after the base has been grilled in a frying pan or on a hot metal plate. On it are also some katsuobushi (dried fish shavings) and kyupi (Japanese mayonnaise). Served with some ginger and tsukemono it's really delicious... :D I could eat it every day.

It's really easy to make, and don't let the japanese names of the ingredients confuse you - you can get those in pretty much every Asia shop around here nowdays, and I even noticed that some of the regular supermarkets are going with the popular Asia-trend and have them on their shelves. I was introduced to this version of okonomiyaki by some people from Osaka, so it's basically the Kansai-recipe, but you can find different regional recipes all over the internet and pick one that appeals to you most.

I'll be honest, "dried fish shavings" sound distinctly unapetising :D

*sigh* Well, it's not the first time that my awesome cooking skillz had this kind of effect on men... the lucky ones among them usualy go out after the dinner just to get some cigarettes... and then never came back... :popo:

...those less lucky ones usually end up buried in my backyard...

But I can bake pretty good cakes. I swear! :D

I took my drug calculations test on Friday, and passed with 100%.

Followed by an interview, which I think went well, should find out today hopefully, as the bastards have made me wait all weekend.

Did the maths right though, thanks to those that assisted!
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Had perfectly cooked steak at a country steak house - yea for Shiara's awesome idea - if only she and Lucy remembered it!!! I still think they should have worn their pj's to dinner instead of getting dressed again.
