Ladies and Gents I put it to you that by far the 'gayest' superhero is Reed Richards or Mr Fantastic (although I'd have called him Mr Failtastic):

His powers suck and make him look stupid

Not only that they are utterly inconsistent

He's a boring old man

He has stupid white streaks in his hair

H e nearly get everyone killed when he makes a clone of Thor and supports the Superhuman registration act. Fucking sell out

He's a total gimp, worse than parker or kent.

Any other contenders?

You mock a cartoon character when you can't even spell his name correctly.

Well, he does have the power to stretch any part of his body to many times it's usual length at will; which I'd imagine makes him quite popular with the ladies... After all, a fox like The Invisible Woman has stayed with him all this time; this when she's had the opportunity to go off with bad-boys like Namor (who has his own undersea kingdom ffs, what more could a girl want?), so we know Reed's definitely got something going for him.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Spiderman - can't stand him. I can do without the whingey, angsty stuff, thanks. And when he's not being totally emo, he's being a smartarse. Which is not good either.

If I were a teenager, I'm sure stuff like that would go over better with me - although, to be fair, when I was a teenager I couldn't stand him either.

No, but I am sick of that bear stealing all my attention. I CAN DO IT, TOO!

Richards was always about the brain and not the powers.

I think one of the gayest super-heroes is Northstar. French, Canadian, goes really fast, and he is, you know, gay.

Midnighter and Apollo from The Authority - they're riffs on Superman and Batman and they're also a couple (they got married and everything); which I think would make them the gayest superheroes. And what about Kathy Kane? She's the new Batwoman and she also *ahem* bats for the other side.

I certainly did and it was absolute PAP. I was just thinking of the time the Skrulls captured Reed and how they force stretched him out in a big arena and just kind of laughed at him. I can't remember if he escaped in that story arc. I like to think he's still there, imagining Susan getting rod from Doom.

It was a depressing night of films. I watched Fantastic Four and then Emoman 3 came on afterwards and my mum wanted to watch it.

There's a panel of Susan Storm in bed, with a shaky speech bubble saying how much she appreciates Reed's 'abilities'. So Stretchowang has his upsides. He's still an ass, though.

@Cougar: HE'S A SKRULL maybe
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

He's been replaced? Last I saw of Reed,
Spoiler

EDIT: Spoiler boxed for those people who didn't read the FIRST issue of Secret Invasion. Slackers.

Guys, hate to say, watch the Secret Invasion spoilers. I know there are some comic fans on the board, and not everyone might have caught up, or might be waiting to read it. The whole who is a skrull thing are pretty big spoilers.

IE - Illy, those are big spoilers.

superhero i hate most - superman.

mainly because he's all "ooooh, look at me, i'm a superhero, i'm a paragon of virtue."

if i was immune to basically everything (except weird rocks and magic), unbeleivably strong, fast, and everything else, i'm pretty damn sure i'd be a hero too. big sodding whoop. who cares. what a godawful p***k.

on the other hand, i find Apollo and the Midnighter rather entertaining. you've got to love a character who looks at a room full of bad guys and can say in all honesty "i won this fight before you even bothered to show up"
meh. Link was dead :(

I agree, slackers! I just know people who enjoy waiting for these things to finish, then reading them in one fell swoop.

Or the trade people.

I dont really read comics, so my knowledge is based on the movies. Cyclops seems like a real whinger if there ever(not their!) was one!
