Seen it twice. Love it, even though I didn't _instinctively_ fall in love with it. Hopefully seeing it again this Sunday for free :D God bless having connections!

Saw it on Monday, quite liked it. A long film. But filled all the way through. Could of made two films out of it but it was still good.

However. I would not let my daughter watch this film. A 12a ? ? Should of been a 15. Perhaps its because im a dad that im whining about this but the censors should of thought properly about this one. I know the company who made the film would want the widest audience possible for the most money but isn't the reason the censors are there, to protect and advise?

Zohan and Pirates of the Caribbean were recent examples of this rating and accurately judged. 12 a is a blatant responsibility shift.

Get rid of the censors if that's what they're going to do. Slap 18a on everything and then let it up to the parents or some such.

Rant over.

Oh. Went to see Hellboy 2 last night. I thought it was generally shit. So don't bother.

Bonus rant over.
"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

The rating system is a bit of a joke, innit? 12A, though? It's 14A here.

My 11-year-old bro wasn't really disturbed by anything except for Harvey post-Twoface and the loud music. Mileage varies, I suppose.

TBH in SA our ratings are PG 13 16 18 R18 and The Dark Knight was only 13, which I find rather shocking, while I never use to give a damn about these restrictions, I would have thought it should have been 16+!

I love psychological thrillers and such, I found the movie to be more twisted than I thought possible (probably the reason I enjoyed ;) )

The Batman, kick-ass hero, crime-fighter extraordinare! Has defeated all-comers, took on an army of ninjas in BB and totally owned them, nigh-on untouchable...gets his ass handed to him on a plate by a couple of Rotties!

Still, excellent movie, loads of fun and I am glad they made more use of Oldman in this one.

I've seen it again and I have to say this movie is 10 kinds of awesome dipped in a layer of awesome.

Bit dissapointed by 2 face not being in it much but it was a good take on the story. I like the fact that they remain firmly rooted in logical explanations for things rather than super-hero stuff.

Yeah, it's one of those films that work really well on re-view. Saw it three times and was amazed at the sort of stuff I was catching on second or third watch :D

I loved the bit where Freeman said the armour would protect against cats - possibly even cat women?

as long as they don't get skeletor pfeifer to do it again. Jeezus

It all comes down to who looks best in a full leather suit though.

Right now, I'm thinking Underworld and Kate beckinsdale

She looked damn fine in that leather suit. She'd make a goodly catwoman

The Dark Knight was awesome. Can't say enough about Heath Ledger's performance. They made a huge mistake in killing Two face though as they had two brilliant villains and neither can return. Although the rumor is Depp playing the Riddling which would be even more fucking awesome than this one.
