Also we known things happen to the south of the continenet we just dont know whats their. The grey swords are from their. Seguleh island is somewhere their.

The latest book just happened to be about a convergance in darujhistan. We cant have a book with this much detail covering every city in the world at the same time.

Dragnipur wasn't made there was it? I mean, I'm fairly certain Darujhistan didn't even exist that far back.

brood destroyed the sword on an anvil and we know that a weapon can only be destroyed by a meaner weapon or in the place + hammer where it is made

I wonder if Burn felt a slight tickle from the Hammer being used...

To put it simply, no we don't... Rhulad's sword was destroyed by the same tools that made it, but it was never stated that it had to be.

Well Brood says that Burn would have a happy dream about the time when he broke Dragnipur.
Also did anyone notice that Burns hammer was used to finish Dragnipur by Draconius and Burn was pretty mad at him. So Burns hammer existed before Caladan Brood was chosen to wield it because i can't see Brood giving up the hammer to an Elder God for such an abomination.

I think that it is mentioned somewhere in MT that a special sword needs to be destroyed either by a stronger sword or by the tools with which it was made.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

its from RG: Withal- (paraphrase) "The smiths secret. to destroy an aspected weapon, you need an even nastier weapon. failing that, return it to the place it was forged."

broods hammer is clearly nasty enough to break dragnipur once the gate and the chaos are gone. and can someone please tell me where its stated that draconus forged dragnipur with burns hammer?

I suppose Darujhistan is the only free and populated place in Genebackis. By the time the series starts, everywhere to the north is under the Malazan heel. And by the time we get to TTH, everything to the south is a post-Pannion wasteland.

It's that whole bit where Draconus is looking back on forging Dragnipur - he thinks about how he did it in the heat of Burns' fires or some such thing, with her hammer.
Darujhistan is a focal point, but it's not the only place to have events. As has been noted, there's Pale, Capustan, Coral....even Outlook, the Seer's old palace, would have to be considered a major event (what with Tool and Garath etc blasting the place to pieces).
