Second trilogy - absolutely random speculation/hopes

so, as you may (or may not) know,
SE confirmed at book signings that he will be writing two more trilogies after the ten book sequence is done.

one dealing with the history of the Tiste, and the other dealing with a loose end that will be left after the end of The Crippled God.

so, random speculation - what will this second trilogy be about?

what do you WANT this second trilogy to be about?

to begin - i'd like to see more of the Wickans - Nether, Nil, Temul and the young Coltaine v 2.0

any other thoughts, hopes?

I think it will have at least one arc about "The Three" Grub and the other two.

It may be about the end of the Malazan Empire...it's last gasp of greatness.

I'd like to see more early Empire stuff - the Old Guard conquering Seven Cities and more.

No. I think it'll take longer than 5 years.

He just said at the Manc signing that it would be a loose end from the series, he didn't specify from which book or whether it would only count from after tCG.

Anyone got more info from other signings/talks?

I'd like to see a FF romance trilogy where Apsalar comes back to Darujhistan and steals Chalice away from Cutter. :eek:

I think blend, picker and scillara is girl on girl enough. Anymore and the series would suffer hehe.

More old guard could be awesome, but seeing Grub grow into being the new first sword of the empire would be awesome as well.

Seeing as she faceplanted the floor from her mansion roof, I doubt anyone but Tiste is going to want to steal her away.

@Cougar: Isn't there a film where a woman goes to work in a mortuary just to shag corpses? All I remember is the acting seemed a little stiff.

well if we really aren't going to be back on genabackis there could always be a full on tyrant trilogy I suppose, that's a pretty big TTH plotline that was never remotely close to resolved.
