Ok, I'm going to open up the files, break them into parts that fit the posting limit and start littering the contest thread (Writing Forum) with the submissions.

Two of the judges must be on vacation, because they haven't checked their PMs. Well, the deadline is still way off so it's not like the judging needs to commence now.

It seemed my eyes subconscuosly(sp?) skipped that bit going directly to the last line(sometimes it happens to me) but I've reread the ending and yes now it's obvious what that place is.

Thanks. I had fun writing it, but wish I had sat on it for a while longer. There are some things I would change.

I am yet to read your own submission, though. It's quite lengthy but I should get around to it soon enough.

I've noticed my submission has altered since the new site started. 'speech marks' now look like a load of random symbols intead of normal speech marks. Anyone taking the time to read it, just know I wasn't trying a new style out.

@Shadowthrone, have a work with Shin, see what he says. He was quite specific about that rule, but I imagine it was just to stop people setting up new accounts to enter twice or get rid of self-promoting wastrels who have signed up for the dough and have no interest in the site.

Anyhoo... Time is a ticking away! We're still on for December 20th, right?

My first draft is finished, but I probably won't submit until beginning of December or so.

I'd be interested to hear how many entries there are so far...

edit - by the way, was there a definitive answer on the maximum word limit? I think the op says one thing, but Shin was willing to be lenient? Just wondering.
