Optimistic, but possible.

They have a good defense. Solid RB in Jones and arguably better receivers than GB.

Better than Driver and Jennings? Really? I'll be honest, I've never paid much attention to the Jets, I don't know much about their players. I did see they have some decent linemen, so that should help Favre avoid the madden curse and get horribly injured.

I think they'll maybe go 8-8... I know they spent a lot of cash and have supposedly gotten better, but they say that every year. And that division as a whole doesn't figure to be as weak as last year: Pats will be the Pats; Bills are on the rise, coming off a decent season; Dolphins can't possibly be as bad as they were last year; and the Jets have some linemen and Favre now.

But hey, you ain't the only one drinking the Favre Kool-Aid: on 1st and 10 Skip Bayliss predicted that they'll (Jets) go 12-4 and win their division. It should make for interesting viewing, whatever the outcome.

The New O-Line is the key. They've got protection. Thomas Jones will have a much better year.

@SS, it's a division, not conference. I kept thinking "they're going to the super bowl?" everytime I read that :)

I have them @ 8-8. Which means they could go anywhere from 10-6 to 6-10.

They'll win at Oakland. They could win @ Seattle, Brett always does well against them.

Oh and they can beat Denver too.

I didn't pick them to beat Oakland because Brett's going to throw a couple of picks to Nmabi Asamoah [sic] who is awesome. I picked them to win if I gave them a better than 55% chance at winning.

Well, excuuuse me. I made a mistake; it happens from time to time. I know the difference, I just wasn't paying attention to what I wrote. We can't all be perfect...

I'll edit so you don't get confused :)

Sorry, I'm easily confused! :) Did I sound prickish? Wasn't meaning to.

QUOTE (Stalker @ Jan 23 2009, 01:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

Depends on how far he falls. Hell, my entire draft is usually predicated on who falls where so that I am generally picking best-player-available.

I'm ready to see how Rodgers does tonight...he seems to be all smiles. He'll probably do OK...maybe. Either that or get killed.
