Having recently completed a reread of DG and being partway through MoI, I've come up with a couple of new crazy(ish?) theories. I'm not really sure how they tie in, but here goes.
1) The Crippled God's old aspect has been talked about a lot on these forums, but I've had a new (I think) idea based on something Crone says in MoI (Page 131).
Quote
The Great Ravens were born like maggots in the flesh of the Fallen One and that, oh, that will damn us! But wait! Have we not been honourable guardians of the Crippled God's magic?
So the Ravens possess the CG's magic. Yet they can absorb any sorcery thrown at them (there's a quote somewhere in MoI that it actually boosts their immunity). So the CG's power can absorb magic. Does that maean his aspect has something to do with otataral? SE said somewhere in an interview that the Otataral Dragon has a role to play in the series (I'm sure I read that; anyone got a link?). Is there a link between it and the CG?
I'm not sure how this ties in with his followers coming in Jade Giants that seem able to fight against otataral. Unless it was these giants that actually caused the otataral on the island and in other places? That might work, if the creations from the CG's world made otataral which absorbs magic like he does.
2) This one's more of a gut feeling than anything else. In DG, while he's on the Silanda, Kulp says his Meanas warren is "eager" when normally it acts like it's not interested. This seemed weird to me when I reread it, especially as Kulp also wonders if the warrens aren't actually living beings. When I put this together with Seren Pedac's conversation with Mockra, it made me wonder if both Seren and Kulp interacted with the dragons that are aspected to those warrens.
What do you think? Anything to add? It's finding tidbits like this that made me want to reread the entire series.
