I thought Breaking Bad was still going for this one more season (in two chunks)?

Two eight episode bursts will comprise this last season, yes.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

That's what I was afraid you were gonna say.
You all tried to warn me, I should have expected it.

On the other hand the 1st 3 episodes of season 3 were pretty fracking sweet. Some of the best tv I've watched. Which is the case with a lot of the 1st 3 seasons.

Well on the other hand, I'm also saying the show doesn't need to redeem itself to remain mostly interesting/compelling. Season 4 is anything but a slog (on the whole), and you won't find yourself finishing just for completion's sake I don't think.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Anyone here watch the BBC show, LINE OF DUTY over the last few weeks? Was it any good?

Yeah, I finished season 3 a couple months ago. Show cracks me the hell up. All the characters are perfect.
Unfortunately it didn't get picked up for av4th season, which sucks. But it might be a good thing, wouldn't be the same without Thad.

Whatever the frak you do. If you're watching season 4 of BSG on Netflix, make sure you're watching the right episode. They've got them all frakked up. Watched 15 minutes of an episode not knowing what the hell was going on cause the last 10 or so are all jumbled.

Just finished the entire series of BSG.
You know that feeling of satisfaction and emptiness you get when you finish an amazing series? Looking back on how awesome it was and at the same time being gutted theres no more, even though you know its for the best? I've experienced it with book series many times, Dark Tower, Malazan, Harry Potter, etc. But this is one of the few times I've experienced it with a tv show.
That was just some ......damn......fine.......television.
Frak!

Started watching Breaking Bad as the first 3 seasons are on Netflix here. Am enjoying the bleak dark humour - the bit where his bathtub fell through the ceiling cos of the acid was great! :p

Caught up with The Newsroom. It's obviously Sorkin writing it as it very much has the feel of West Wing. I like it. Good stuff.

Almost too pretty though. Seriously, there have to be some ugly people in your worlds Sorkin.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I've only watched the first three episodes so far, and enjoyed them all. It's a little self-congratulatory for Sorkin (the news do-over concept itself especially), but I like all the characters and in practice the concept has worked well. Sam Waterston is great, and I'm sure Jane Fonda's getting a kick out of her role given her split with Ted Turner.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Powered thru BREAKING BAD S1 last week, now on S2. Totally enjoying it, this is a brilliant, brilliant series.

Some of the mundane/domestic scenes can drag a bit but if you consider them in light of what else is going on behind the scenes it's mad funny. Reminds me a lot in tone of the first few seasons of DEXTER.
