Oi! Markie Post is STILL a smoke show I'll have you know.

I'm not talking about the gift, I'm talking about the wrapping paper.

In that era, for a person without cable, those were quite, um, inspiring outfits to a young imagination. By today's standards though, it may as well be a nun's habit.

I mean, I'm sure the Sears catalog bra models are still quite attractive, too.
Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

I beg to differ with Abyss.

Anyone wonder if Dan is Barney's father?

I would watch a Night Court reunion.

That would make an awful lot of sense to be honest.

Yes, that was immense. Season 4 is an excellent season.

Britannia continues in its violent and somewhat surreal but thoroughly enjoyable form. It is making a lot more sense now I know who people are and suchlike, and I have to say the young girl (Cait) is the star of the show!

Is she the one from the trailer who yells like "Come and fucking get me Romans!" or some such?

Yes! That was in the second or third episode IIRC. She is ace. In fact, all the female roles are the best - Zoe Wannamaker as a bitter Queen of a tribe is brilliant.

EDIT Having said that, my appreciation for Mackenzie Crook continues to grow. He is wonderfully creepy as the head druid guy...

It's funny, watching the trailer I SWORE I heard his voice...and it took me a few watches of the trailer to realize he's the guy with the bald head and scars and tattoos and such. Love Mackenzie Crook.

This is my problem with seeing old sitcoms now, the laugh track is so jarring.

Watching Live PD for the 1st time ever. Man they got some really unintelligent human beings across the nation tonight and had my stupid body not failed me close to 2 decades ago I would have been out there dealing with them for a time on my way to my ultimate goal all while hoping I could help a small percentage of them.

That probably reads way worse then I intended it to. Making unintelligent decisions under the influence. Not that they are dumb from birth.

It's a lot harder to catch the smart ones.

Definitely watching. I was a kid in love with wrestling when he was in his prime.

I feel like when you do the play-by-plays of the shows you're watching you should do the commercials too. Otherwise I don't get the full experience.

I've been watching Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, an episode here and an episode there. I get a surprising amount of enjoyment out of it. Seinfeld is a better interviewer than I would have guessed.

BK, did you finish TERRACE HOUSE: ALOHA STATE?

We just got around to finishing it last night, and man we loved how tense it got in Part 4. That Cheri chick is INSANE. I'm so glad that Taishi called her out on her shit, and that Chika backed him. That Wez guy is SO boring though...he's got zero personality...how he's a rapper is beyond me.

Also, I was reading Reddit and a bunch of people who deal with substance abuse say that Cheri isn't just the drunk they portray her as, but that she carries ALL the hallmarks of cocaine use (especially in that house meeting) with the puffy face, the red eyes, the mumbling speech, the loyalty and rewards system in place for people around her...and it also sounds like they skirted around the fact that she was essentially an escort. But yeah, she was tension incarnate.

Taishi, who I originally found to be too much of a weird player, and a bit overly creepy at times...it turns out is just this REALLY intense guy who is altruistic, and by the end he was my favourite castmate of the remaining people. I liked Guy and Nikki a lot too, but they left in early Part 4.

Anyways, I've got the next one marked out as I THINK it pops up on our Netflix in Spring sometime....callled TERRACE HOUSE: OPENING NEW DOORS....which is back in Japan and I think the house is in a rural resort?

Oh man, and the peanut gallery was ON POINT and hilarious during Aloha State. Yamasato and Yu were especially amazing. My wife loves Yamasato because he ALWAYS says what she's thinking about stuff.

Oh, and I bought that shirt they all wore, with the Japanese words for " Love Worth Dying For" with the guilty samurai in the "O". Some dude recreated it on RedBubble, so I grabbed one. Taishi, guilty samurai FTW!

Chicka! When she came into the house I was in TV love!! I wanted to beam into the tv and slap Taishi upside and show him how it’s done. That was painful to watch play out!!!

Yeah, she was full-on sexing it up in front if him. Revealing bathing suit, and sitting down to eat a banana in front of him to watch his attention! Even her normal clothes were tailored to show off her butt.

His progression was interesting though. Starts out love-sick, and over the top with this affections...is told by the guys to dial it back (I think Ryo's talk especially helped him) and does so. Then he comes to the defense of a fellow house mate (Mariko) AND takes point in that discussion...which shows not only how adult he is, but how honourable he is. Then he takes her on a proper date, and woos her normally and gets her.

Also, she traded UP with Taishi. Did you see her slovenly American Ex-husband Cameron? What a fucking toolbag. LOL

Oh, and you should know they are happily still together (the show ended in June of last year). As are Avian and Yuya, Avian just flies back and forth to Japan to visit him.

It's nice to see so many love success stories continue after the show.

Oh, and that Cheri bitch blocks EVERYONE on social media who DARES to ask her even the most benign question...she's a trashy asshole.

Yeah, Tokui. He's great too. Kentaro (the younger guy) came out of his shell a bit more in Part 4.

Me too. I keep looking to see if Fuji TV has any plans to release the earlier Japanese-only Seasons. Nothing yet, but when they do drop, I'll binge for sure.
