Hey QT are u watching Atlantis still? I kinda stopped last season before the finale. I've recor the S2 epi to try again but can't muster the will to watch.

It's got a different writer in charge this year and it's been taping. Seen the first ep, it was alright. It's not reaching MERLIN-levels of entertainment, but apparently they are going darker this year. I'll keep watching it, but it's on the bubble.

I've watched 6 episodes of House of Cards so far. Good shit I think.

It's really uneven, but it may be the best cast show I have ever seen. Every single one of the actors carries the highs incredibly and make even the worst of material/situations pass by without too much irritation.

Alpha House is a better/funnier take on Washington politicians though.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I can't click for spoiler reasons but is Ten in it?

Indeed he is. The entire cast of S1 is still in it.

Get on watching S1, it's only 10 eps.

He got nibbled on his head a little and quit when the snake squeezed him a bit. He took the armor off his arms cuz it was restricting his mobility, and that hurt him. Anyway it was all a big copout.

The second season of The Fall (with Gillian Anderson) started yesterday on the BBC. The first one was a masterpiece in tension and creepyness, and this first episode was no different. Really good show.

Thanks for pointing this out, really enjoyed the first..gosh BBC shows are short!

Anyone catch The Librarians? I was getting a Leverage vibe through the opener and just noticed that he's the executive producer. Went to IMDB and discovered he's apparently also doing a reboot of Stargate movies. Also got a heavy Warehouse 13 vibe, but that's probably inherent in the plotlines for both shows.

I've always liked John Larroquette and he's good here. Romjin is meh which is the best she's ever at so no surprises there. Noah Wyle should have been killed off in the opener though imo.

edit: oh. stargate. that explains the slight shiver and "that first step might be just a little..."

So The Newsroom ended last night. We only got a 6 epi S3 but it was a good 6 epi I thought. My only compliants was on the last epi. We to much of the past shown. I realize what they were trying to do but they could've done it in less time and given us more Present arcs. Then the singing with everyone stumbling toward the sound and pitching in.

So all in all this is a very good, complicated show that keeps you on your toes. It's very fast paced with smart people blasting their lit knowledge. I reco these 3 seasons for sure.

Too many people have piled on Sorkin for his motives behind the show which I don't particularly get. But it makes me wonder if the "Leona always had a plan" might not be a reaction to the critics. It felt a bit forced to me.

Anyone going to watch Ascension? I'm just starting it. First two episodes premiere tonight.

EDIT: Twenty minutes in so far, and it seems like Twin Peaks in space.

EDIT2: Ffs, the murdered girl's name is Lorelei. The girl in Twin Peaks? Laura. Serendipitous, no?

Did you enjoy the series?

Yes. Season two was a bit shaky and season 3 too short.

Watching "the Replacement Killers". Not a fan of bowties but that's one very nice Impala.

@ whisp

Yeah I have it set. Idk about them showing 2 pts tonight though. My guide just says pt 1-3.

It's technically 6 episodes over 3 days. But I they're airing pairs in solid blocks.

Last week of The Colbert Report (3 more episodes left - tonight through Thursday). I'm anticipating some special guests and/or awesome parting segments. Should be a lot of fun. I'm sad to see such a brilliant show end.
