Watched the first episode of CRISIS. Wish i could get back that wasted time. Another steaming pile of pilot season.
If BELIEVE had some of the worst fight sequences I've ever seen on tv (honestly they couldn't have knocked over cardboard cut outs of people the way they kicked and punched), then CRISIS had some of the worst "Mystery Plotting" I have come across in ages. Look something bad is happening. Oh wait, let's roll back the clock 12 hours. All is normal. Who are these people. Oh look there are bad guys. Bad things happen. But wait all is not as it seems....... Or is it??????... (who gives a f*ck). Crappy acting, crappy characters, and a premise I couldn't care less for. If only they'd kill this in 3 eps, but it'll probably get played out.
And yet a show like HANNIBAL is on the bubble of being renewed/canceled!!

HELIX - on the bubble with me. When it's good, it's very good, but when it's bad, it's painful. Split is about 60/40 right now. Am still watching but it wouldn't take much to nudge me away.
ARROW - Loving it. I don't care about the comic source material, i don't care that it's on the CW with manadatory hotties and abs quotas per episode. This show is having all kinds of fun.
AGENTS OF SHIELD - Liking more than i'm not. Not always as clever as it pretends to be, but the characters have become engaging. Still in.
INTELLIGENCE - I gave up.
ALMOST HUMAN - ended well enough. I won't weep if it isn't renewed for a S2, but i'll watch if it is.
TRUE DETECTIVE - ended brilliantly. Best show on tv in recent memory.
DRAGONS: DEFENDERS OF BERK - Have to skip about every third ep or so when it panders to its kiddie audience with a 'cute' episode, but sometimes this show is so much fun and totally builds on HTTYD while building to the sequel.
GAME OF THRONES - Apr 4. PSYCHED!

I watched like 2 eps of Grimm and it didn't hook me at all. Guess it could have if I haven't seen Supernatural before. Or The X Files.

I saw the first episode of the show, The 100, today. The show's premise is, I suppose, nothing new. A long time after a nuclear apocalypse makes the world uninhabitable and the people on space stations in orbit band together to survive. Many years later it's been decided to send all the delinguints back down to earth to test if the living conditions have improved. Little known to the public, the spacestation's life support is failing and so on and so forth.
The story is pretty generic and nothing we haven't seen before. The guys are the usual blend of bad boys with a heart of gold, nerds and assholes and the girls are all hot. It's all pretty teen angsty to tell the truth.
And yet, I liked it. The acting, while nothing, was decent and believable. Most of the characters were the usual blend. But for once, they worked out well.
Now, this might just be the first episode speaking here, but unless the next few episodes suck monkey ass I'm going to give this show a chance.

It was entertaining enough, though it's certainly no REIGN.
My ONLY issue with it...Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond from LOST) was not allowed to keep his Scottish accent...and on a multinational space station there is no reason why he shouldn't have been able to...and his American accent is nasal and nerdy...
Oh, and the actor who is on it who also played Gaeta on BSG...is essentially playing the same character here...like he should just be the Comms officer of the Ark. When Cusick showed up I half expected him to announce that the XO was on Deck. LMAO!

Also, yes I think it was picked up for a second season (just checked, it was renewed for S2 back in Nov)...it's the CW they never cancel anything. LOL

I have not read or contributed to this thread for a while so I will read up.

The Legend of the Seeker (based off Terry Goodkind's Wizards First Rule) I watched one episode last night. I did not at first connect the book to the TV program until I started to watch and got around 30 seconds in. I will not be watching anymore. The main reason is the acting is so bad and I do not feel connected to any of the characters. It could have been great but no, not for me.
The Almighty Johnsons - I watched the full 2 seasons over a 2 week period. The acting was not great, it reminded me of Home and Away slash Neighbours. This was based in New Zealand. Humans who have Norse Gods living inside of them. Captivating and definitely had me up until the final episode of season 2. I don't know if there are anymore being made but I cannot see myself wanting to watch anymore of it. The final episode was lame, it could have been great but it was such a let down. The series is based around Odin being reborn and if he finds Frig all the Gods get their true power back. Loki and Thor are both present in certain episodes and some Gods use their abilities quite well and it is fascinating learning about certain things. I watched the whole series because this is the sort of thing I like, it could have been so much better though.
Firefly - I started watching this a long time ago and although I enjoy it, knowing there was only one series, I have been taking it extremely slow. I have just watched episode 6, and I cannot deny that this series is awesome.
Grimm - I have watched one episode and loved it. One that I am dying to watch but have to wait to watch at the moment.
Walking Dead - This is awesome, but not something you can speed watch or enjoy over tea. You definitely need to be in the mood to watch it. With each episode being around 50 minutes and being full of drama, pain and hurt, it is a slow watch but we are halfway through season 2 at the moment and will get there in the end.
Fringe - Finished season one, eagerly waiting to watch season 2 but it's way back on the to watch list at the moment.
Breaking Bad - Done and dusted. I loved it. Not going to go into it because it has been advertised by word of mouth and TV enough Bitch!
I am going to go through the thread a few pages and see if there is anything I have watched and missed off the above.

This is the theory I've always operated under. Especially with Fox in control, although they did eventually let Fringe be Fringe, they tend to overhype (Terra Nova, Fastlane) some things too much, and then other times they allow the show's creator too much freedom, and things get out of control (Family Guy, X-Files, Prison Break). Firefly is perfect because of the circumstances that surrounded it, the happenings that were just too serendipitous, and inadvertently guided it to its so-called cult status. People can say they loved the show from the moment it aired, and far be it for moi to call them out on it, but the show never made sense until the DVD's came out and viewers could watch them in the proper order. Also, Christina Hendricks.

I am up to date with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D as far as English channel 4 releasing them goes. I will watch them to the end but it doesn't feel real. I guess that's the problem I have with a lot of shows, and why I liked the Almighty Johnsons, it felt like it could have been real and real life.

I liked the IT crowd. Funny as.
Orange is the New Black was awesome! There are some golden scenes in this. Crazy Eyes is one of my favourite characters, and the great scenes have her in them.

Captain Malcolm Reynolds is a mystery writer and helps a hot PD detective solve cases. ALso involved is Sgt. Poke from Generation Kill. Pretty fun series tbh!
